So If This Goes To Convention...
What's the strategy for handling McCain?

How's fundraising affected?

1. It gives McCain a big advantage because as we know the media has ignored all his gafffes

while focusing on Hillary vs. Obama. It allows him to organize key states, raise money, and campaign among voters while Obama still has one foot in the primary race due to Hillary and trying to focus on McCain. Hillary will likely continue to do some of McCain's work for him to bloody Obama up. Furthermore we will not have a unified convention to give Obama a kick start. It also comes at the end of August and Labor Day is just days away and McCain has his convention right after ours. He'll get a boost and Obama probably wouldn't get as much of a boost.

3. Well...
one could argue that the media has largely ignored McCain, period. And who knows what the media'd be saying about him if we were in full GE mode.

So what's the strategy for the situation we're in now? Keep pressuring Hillary and the Super-D's? Make a pact to double-team McCain? Fight a two-front war?

4. well it would be nice if she got out after the last primaries and when it's clear that Obama will
be the nominee. If she wants to wait for something to happen to him all she needs to do is suspend her campaign and she can start it up again if something happens.

2. If this goes to the convention, Democrats lose. Which is exactly the Clintonian strategy. -eom

5. If they both stay on-message against McCain...
wouldn't that be sweet?

6. Won't happen. Hillary considers Obama "the enemy", not McCain - she praises him. -eom

7. Then the CLINTON name is "mud" within the democratic party! She's not going to even keep her Senate
Seat come 2012. Hell, I'll donate to her next primary contender.

That's how VILE HRC and her surrogates are behaving.

GROW THE FUCK UP!

Accept a defeat like *a woman* (dignified and realistic).

8. If that's our strategy, how's it going to help us in the GE?

9. The only solution I can really see to this is...
Have all the unpledged Superdelegates stay unpledged as long as each candidate doesn't attack each other. The minute Hillary or Obama goes negative, the Super-D's move.

This way we have a tag team against McCain, combined fundraising power, and no hard feelings when it's all over.
