Anybody else COMPLETELY turned off at how Ted Kennedy is Being Referred to in the Past Tense?
I swear to the flying spaghetti monster I have to trun that shite off each time they start eulogizing him.

Similarly, and I am just being honest, the same feeling applies to Hillary's staunch supporters. You Obama peep are eulogizing her to the same avail.

I am just being very honest with you all right now.

1. It does irritate me.
They were showing video of him with his family, laughing over something Whoopi Goldberg had sent him. He looked to be in good spirits.

The man is ALIVE, folks. He's not dead yet. He's got a lot of fight left in him.

3. I keep hearing the Monty Python guy saying "I'm not dead yet"
It's terrible that they are acting like Kennedy is already dead. I hope he and his family aren't watching any of this coverage.

4. Honestly. The death of a political campaign does not compare to the death of a person.
You're doing him a disservice yourself by making that comparison.

Remember, Kennedy's greatest successes were realized after his failed Presidential bid against Carter.

5. The parallels are clear, and you know it. Funny how you mention Kennedy's presidential bid against
Carter. Dem running against dem right?

I was too little then, but I wonder if he would have taken it to the convention if he were the popular vote leader, and the disenfranchisment of the voters of two VERY IMPORTANT swing states were on the line.

6. He did take it to the convention.
What are you talking about?

My point was that Hillary will survive and succeed irregardless of what happens to this election. Kennedy faces a much more serious challenge. Please don't equate their situations.

That is all.

7. Somewhat, but give the sort of condition he has
this might be our last chance to honor him. Depending on the progress the end can be unpleasant and he may wish to retire from public view.

8. It is a dream of mine to be talked about as if I were dead when I am still alive.
You really get to know who your friends are.

9. Sadly enough, once you have a malignant brain tumor
your life is pretty much over. No, he may not be in the grave yet but once you're diagnosed with such a thing life as you knew it will never be the same.

What they SHOULD be talking about is how man can figure out a way to kill off every living thing on the planet but has yet to figure out a way to kill a cancer cell.

10. I noticed that too.
Even over the weekend before his tumor was diagnosed.

11. At least he is alive now to know how much he
is appreciated.

A Grade III to IV glioblastoma in a 76 year old does not have a good prognosis. And being in the left parietal in a right handed individual, surgery might affect his ability to speak so that the limited options of radiation and chemo are not likely to give him a prolonged life span.

In my opinion, he is likely to die sooner than most people on death row in this country.

12. When were they doing that?
I used to get mad at things like that.
