Tell MSM to stop carrying Clinton's LIES! She is not ahead in the Popular Vote
No matter how many ways you slice it... she has not won one sigle category in her pursuit of the Democratic nomination. Time and again I hear Clinton surrogates use the metric of having had more people vote for her than any other democrat... ever. It's a LIE! MSNBC, like other networks let the surrogates say what they want... Terry McAuliffe and Wasserman-Shultz to cite a few and it's not only disingenuous for the so-called journalists to let them say it but what's worse is that the news media is supposed to INFORM us on the FACTS. The facts: Even if you seat Florida and Michigan, Obama still has the popular vote. Clinton wants to count two states that broke the rules (Obama wasn't even on the ballot in Michigan) while excluding caucuses. Her argument is specious and journalist shouldn't allow this.

For no other reason than to let the media know you are WAYYYY AHEAD of them, contact them and tell them that you know that the popular vote lie is what it is... A LIE!!! Tell these clowns that they look dumb sitting right in front of Clinton's surrogates absorbing her campaign's train wreck using every excuse in the book to bolster a false claim.

If we collectively tell these journalists that they are in fact dumber than we let on then perhaps they will understand that we the American people don't buy any of their bullshit and that we suspect they are not there for the purposes of gathering real news but that in fact they are there for our LOL entertainment. Tell them that we will start taking them seriously when they take the facts seriously and start telling us the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

1. BIg Media EXISTS to tell lies. That is all they are about!
Edited on Wed May-21-08 12:01 PM by truedelphi
They lied us into Iraq, and after that they lied us into accepting the stolen election of Nov 2004.

THis is called propaganda. It is the very reason for their existence.

For a more detailed look at what I mean, please see this link (and scroll down to 2nd story there)

Our media will only deal with the "truths" that benefit Big Oil, Big Money (ie the banks) Big War, and Big Pharma (including the pesticides and GMO issues)

Even if those "truths" are lies!!

3. thank you for the links. Yes..they are here to lie to us with inpunity...
I think that if enough people tell them that they are entertainment monkeys and shouldn't be taken seriously (with the internet(s)) being the sole news provider then hopefully they will start to get their act together.

Think about it... If 45 percent told the media that they were full of shit, that would get them to rethink how information is disseminated. It is wishful thinking but hey I'm hopeful now that the internet is around.

9. Oh they know that at least 45% of us don't believe them
It is probably a great deal more than that.

For one thing, the Big Media are losing subscribers. The 2006 National newspaper association's event did nothing but talk about ""where did all the subscribers go?"

The news print people are losing like 15% of their base each year.

And remember, the RW doesn't believe them either. Whereas us lefties and progressives don't like the Big Media's take on the war, and on the pesiticide and GMO issues, the RW hates the Big Media's take on abortion, immigration, and homosexuality. Plus they get awfully angry when PBS stations carry science programs that indicate the earth was here about 4 billion yrs ago.

2. Her popular vote argument is a COMPLETE crock because not all the states had primaries
Edited on Wed May-21-08 12:08 PM by rocknation
Some had caucuses as well as primaries, some had caucuses only, four of the caucus states didn't compile their popular vote totals, and places like Puerto Rico and Gaum don't vote in the GE, so their popular vote totals shouldn't be included!

Disinformation isn't pretty.

7. But has Obama actually won any types of contests that matter??
Edited on Wed May-21-08 12:34 PM by truedelphi
I mean, can't you understand how the "truths" pronounced by the Clinton campaign have at least mesmerized Hillary, Bill, McAuliffe and others??

Unfortunately, the M$M likes her message. She is the more neocon of the two remaining Dems. Wolfie Blitzer has a woodie ever time he mentions her name.

8. Every contest matters, in one way or another.
He has won contests that indicate he could win states that Hillary would never have a shot in, in the GE. CO, MS, NC, MO, VA, WI, AK, NE, KS.

He changes the map. Hillary doesn't try to add anything new to Kerry's loss, except Arkansas.

12. And Karl Rove is backing her up, saying how righteous the cause of getting every vote to count
Edited on Wed May-21-08 12:52 PM by truedelphi
Happens to be. That Florida and Michigan need to be seated as is. With their votes going for Hillary.

I foresee an unfortunate spectacle wherein LULAC takes to the streets of Denver and the Media seizes it as a populist uprising and keeps it going until Obama is out and Hillary is in.

14. The Media knows that what they say might not convince anyone
I'm sure they realize it isn't changing any of Obama's supporters over to the Clinton camp.

But it gives a cover story so that other events can take place.

For instance, it was not true that the RW fundies had enough people voting for Bush to defeat Kerry in 2004. But it was the story Big Media needed and ran with until those who opposed that story as a crock of the proverbial no lionger turned on the TV and those who supported Bush could feel assuaged that their boy had won fair and square.

But it gave a "plausability" to the story and kept the real story of the stolen election from hitting the wires.

That is how POWERFUL PROPAGANDA tools known as the Big Media play out the game.

15. Oh yes she is!
Edited on Wed May-21-08 12:59 PM by Kablooie
It's obvious as long as you don't count the caucuses.
Just throw out the delegates from:
Iowa
Alaska
Colorado
Idaho
Kansas
Minnesota
North Dakota
Nebraska
Washington
Maine
Hawaii
Texas
and Wyoming

and Clinton is WAY ahead!

It's OBVIOUS!
