8. Actually, it's more a commentary on those who think they can bully and browbeat

people into supporting their candidate. That's just not a very effective strategy.

And, since we are very into loyalty oaths around here these past few months, I have voted for the Democratic nominee in every election since 1984, my first, and this time will be no different.

10. Well, I would recommend responding to people with some kindness and understanding.

You know, that new politics we keep hearing about.

It's been a hard-fought primary, and there are few things more painful for political enthusiasts than seeing their candidate lose. I know how it feels, having supported losing candidates many times over the years, all the way back to the likes of Gary Hart and Paul Simon.

Why not reach out to those who supported Clinton, rather than start 50 threads a day telling them that the world will end if they don't get in line?

13. Plenty of Clinton supporters accept Obama has prevailed. Obama-haters, on the other hand...

are using Clinton as a shield to hide behind. I've met plenty of Clinton supporters who've done the math and recognize that Obama has similar goals but different ideas about how to achieve them, and recognize that this has turned out to be a winning combination. They're quite willing to give his strategy a try since it's already proved a success in the nomination contest.

On the other hand, there's a bunch of Obama haters who think they're representative of all Clinton supporters and who respond to an extended hand of friendship by spitting into it.

There's no point in trying to reason with irrational people. You won't bring them around but you will alienate others who will, given some time, get past their hurt feelings and climb on board.
