Anyone else a little worried that Obama might respond to
Chuck Hagel's recent posturing by offering him the V.P. position?

He's good on Iraq but he's a hard liner on other issues, especially pro-life.

2. I think he'll respond with a gracious thank you.
And not much more.

4. He won't put Hagel on the ticket. Hagel just knows wrong this war is
I think the people who beat the drum for this war, really piss him off.

5. Hagel could secure himself a place...
...in the cabinet. I don't see much more for him though. Come November, I don't think we'll be seeing "Unity" tickets on either side, despite much talk now. I could be pleasantly surprised by a McCain/Lieberman ticket though. Maybe that's the DLCs "backup plan".

8. McCain/Lieberman would be the most uninspiring ticket ever put together.

11. Wouldn't that be McCain/Loserman? Don't the Repukes have
a lot of bumper stickers they could recycle?

6. I really don't think he's getting VP, thank god.
But I'm fine with letting him do op-eds in the Wall Street journal hammering McSellout for Iraq. Let him go on tv and trash him.

10. No but I would still support the ticket if he did.

I have his latest book, "America, The Next Chapter" and it is very good. I don't fear Hagel.

12. I don't have a problem with Hagel in the cabinet ...
but I don't want him as VP. Obama is running as a Democrat. It is his responsibility to choose a running mate who will uphold Democratic principles if he/she has to take over as president. There are PLENTY of wonderful, qualified Democrats to choose from and honestly, I will lose faith in Obama if he can't find one.
