Plenty of Nervous People on the Board today
No need to be. Obama has the nomination sown up, will soon be sealed. The Florida/Michigan situation will be resolved. Clinton is now all bluster, no substance.

I trust Dean to do what is right and fair.

Obama doesn't want to shut out Florida or Michigan from the convention, they will be seated. Fairly.

If you don't mind, I will wait until there is reason to run around in panic with my hair on fire. I am just too damn old to do otherwise.

:hi:

3. Bop them with your bag, DearAbby
Obama is a pragmatist. He does what has to be done. We know his judgment is worthy of our trust and he hasn't let us down yet.

I will wait with you.

5. I don't think people are worried that he won't get the nom,
it's that the Clintons are going to keep tearing down the party, angering and turning off voters so that no Democrat has much of a chance to win this year. Who knows, at this point even when Obama does get the nom, the Clintons seem likely to continue with a scorched-earth policy, dragging down the party publicly, suing, etc. It'll be a nightmare and a sure-fire loser for the Dems for at LEAST the next four years. I think that's what people are worried about. That no matter what happens, unless SHE gets what she wants, she will never stop. Rules, ethics, the party, the country be damned. I'd like to hope she would behave otherwise, but there's certainly no evidence upon which to do so.

I haven't been this angry and sick in a LONG time.

13. this being an epic battle within the party
I believe this is the election, hell McLame is like Dole...who ever wins this primary will be president, also control the party. The Clintons and the DLC have had control, and are trying to maintain that control. Obama is the young lion challenging for control, has youth and vigor on his side. It's a generational struggle.

29. Big Time Battle going on and the DLC are losing
Power is never given away freely and the struggle is
for the life and soul of the party. I think by the 2010 election
the DLC will be marginalized so bad that they will fade
into history.

George 'never tell a lie' Washinton vs William Clinton?
no contest.

9. Obama is smart and
Knew she was gong to throw a tantrum today. The tape is being forwarded to undeclared super delegates to get them to move.

Its what happened after NC and IN. People weren't moving and than a Clinton Tantrum. Open the floodgates.

15. thanks for the link...another calming factor for me was the post that Obama is "doing" November now
and basically ignoring Clinton.

Some wisdom with that approach.

As much as I adore Rachael, I think she's a tad over the top on this and we should just forget Hillary. Let her go to the convention if she must. Just stop talking about her. She is irrelevant.

11. Since she doesn't like reality and tries to change it to suit her wants
it is hard to be sanguine about all this. Not only that, she is spreading lies about the "popular vote" which people will pick up, even tho it isn't true.

So you may need to bop me over the head until I'm unconscious and stay that way until after the second week of June.

sure Hillary is exasperating, but she doesn't know what she's doing and have proved it.
She still pisses me off.

17. Obama supporters have had it with the DNC's coddling of Hillary....
We see them risking the November election for the sake of not hurting her feelings.

It will get a lot worse, too.

21. I think the nervousness is due to the fact that...
Hillary has openly expressed interest in taking this to the convention...AND...in the Rules & Means Committee meeting may have just found a way to do so.

I feel the tension myself, but I'm trying really hard not to act on it.

22. There Should Be No Doubt That Obama Gets The Nomination At This Point.
He deserves it and has earned it, and there's no way the SD's would turn their backs on him. Just ain't gonna happen, barring some really significant event that changes that.

31. I don't believe it will go that far...
the Party leaders will shut her down. They have learned valuable lessons from the past, allowing divisions such as this to go all the way to the convention. Too much is at stake.

If it goes beyond that, then yeah, I'll put on my spandex and nikes and start running in panic.
