why is keyes getting so much free media time?
why is the media promoting his candidacy's launch unlike any other in history (except maybe hillary's)?

is it because his insanity makes for good tv? is it the fact that two african americans are running? or are they rooting for the nutjob to stop obama?

2. Several reasons.
The conservatives are pushing him.
Obama is news, so his challenger is news.
Keyes ran for president a couple times.
First all black race.
Keyes has media connections.

7. Yep. Imperial Amerikan Pravda is so bad, so Orwellian that IS the
answer.

Good Lord, how did things get so bad so FAST?

Or were they getting bad long ago and we just failed to notice.

6. He blotted his sweaty brow with a paper napkin.....
...now wing-nut republican operatives are bidding up the prices on Ebay. Another Karl Rove publicity stunt. These neo-cons will stoop to any level to get publicity. I wouldn't be surprised if Rove asks Keyes take a dump into a dogie bag and put that up for auction to get more press coverage.

9. Who cares?
The more he speaks, the more contrast people will see in his RW extremism and Obama's thoughtful modertion. Hopefully, this will reflect nationally in the way people perceive Republicans and Democrats.

It might be a good thing to let this guy get plenty of airtime....and help define Republicans as the Party of war-mongering wackos.

10. He's entertaining
He's like a circus performer. He's so bizarre and twisted. He rambles on and on.

He's a tried and true nutcase -- a candidate running for anything and everything, who has seemingly failed at everything.

This should a lot of fun...and my guess is Obama is finding this amusing as well.

11. I'm THOUROUGHLY enjoying him!
To many, he will embody the GOP. And he will turn them off from voting for the GOP. That's great for us.

12. 'Man bites dog'sells newspapers, etc. .
It's a freak show now, with Keyes being the Freak-in-Chief. The media has a new toy to play with, but they'll get bored with it soon enough...
