Can you believe the turd, Alan Keyes?

I have seldom heard such hate and lying and manipulation coming from one individual. This man is a monster and should be totally rejected by any thinking people in ILL. I really hope that his run against Obama will totally ruin his political career and take him out of any possiblility of holding high office.

I think I heard him say that slavery is not a racial issue. Maybe not historically and worldwide, but in the US, where he's running for office, it certainly did seem to have a racial aspect to it. What a sleazy asshole.

It's bad enough we must endure Keyes' inquisition until November. And that his facile, intellectually dishonest manner will give Democratic opponent Barack Obama some tough moments. But the worst thing is that, instead of discussing the real issues we face -- terrorism, Iraq, health care, the economy -- we instead must debate how many angels Alan Keyes thinks should be allowed to dance on the head of a pin.

If he were white, the Repugs would shut him up good since he embarasses them at every turn. This is the best thing to happen to Illinois Democratic politics in years.

Alan Keyes will be buried and repudiated across Illinois, you can count on it.

He'll will be decisively routed in Chicago. I see 75-80% going to Obama. I'd be willing to bet he gets maybe 100 black votes, period. You can put a quid on not seeing Keyes on the South or West sides.

He will be routed mid-state and downstate. The moderate GOP leadership is sitting down. Add that to the simple midwestern ideal that we just don't cotton to outside snake-oil salesmen.

Like everything else in this election year, we have all the cards. The challenge is playing them well. That means winning the echo chamber of the media (I think Obama's pretty much done that.), and getting the voters out, especially those who Keyes have zero shot of winning and then working out from there.

The biggest thing is not letting Keyes breathe. Treat 67-28 like its 48-48. Hammer and pound him with the facts. And the facts our he thinks the Chicago Bears is a trained animal act, Peoria's a breakfast cereal and Rockford is a TV private eye. This guy couldn't find Illinois on a map and certainly doesn't begin to know the issues.

If Alan Keyes is smart, he'll only want one debate in this race.

This is no standard issue conservative repuke, he's a certifiable nut job and I honestly believe he will damage the Illinois repuglican Party for years to come.

I'm surprised the Illinois repuglican Party didn't tell the RNC to go to hell over this one.

said he would not move out of state to run for office. VERY SPECIFIC--if there is a debate (snarf--I'd love to watch!) the press needs to hammer him on this.
