13. I want to play this out: "Choking Victims for Truth"
"I was choking on a pretzel in my big house I would be living in for 4 years, and I was choking and running around and getting bruises and everything. I had so many bruises, but there was one person who did not help me recover from my wounds, and that was John Kerry, it is because of this I know he is unfit to be President."

- George W Bush,
Choking Victims for Truth

33. Comments from Chokers for Truth........
Chokers for the Truth

A group funded by a Texas Homebuilders will begin running televsions commercials under a 527 organization featuring a half dozen people who choked that were NOT saved by John Kerry.

"I survived a choking incident, and where was John Kerry? No where in sight."

"My choking experience is not something I want politicized by a man like John Kerry."

"John Kerry turned his back on me when he came out AGAINST the Heimlich Maneuver."

"Not only did I choke on a pretzel and John Kerry didn't save me, but I think he may have had something to do with it. I'm George W. Bush, war president, er, peace president, and I approve this message."

What's in the past is past. Let's focus on the future. There's plenty to worry about there.

Should we change it to the "Freedom from Lodged Food maneuver"?

8. PeteNYC, you folks at the Kerry HQ should force this story on the media
It is an amazing story!

Seriously, we've got to see this on Pravda.

Keep up the great work, Pete! We're working hard here in Southwestern PA for Kerry!

11. I'm sure Bush would have done the same thing. . .
I mean, I couldn't imagine him standing in the hallway dumbfounded, or even worse, smirknig as a political opponent keeled over amidst a crowd of onlookers.

It's not like he's the kind of guy that makes fun of people who are about to die.

18. 30 seconds.... 7 minutes
Hecht had 30 seconds.

It took Bush 7 minutes to decide to leave that classroom.

Kerry acted in a second. He stepped off the elevator and responded to the situation. That, my dear friends, is leadership. I'm sure there were other people around, but Kerry stepped in and took charge. Not because people were asking him to, but because it had to be done.

Bush was given critical information that this country was under attack. He waited 7 minutes before doing anything.

Who do you want to lead this country?

19. One theory:
<sarcasm>

Did you ever stop to think that maybe. . . just maybe. . . The Pet Goat is a REALLY interesting book? I mean, come on, he was right in the middle of it. You can't expect the man to concentrate on anything else before he finds out how it ends. I guess what I am trying to say is, why do you hate American so much?

</sarcasm>

22. You may have a point
I've been there. I've been up late reading a book and I just can't put it down. Wham, suddenly it is 4am and I got no sleep. Some books truly are enthralling and spellbinding. Maybe it is time we realize just how destructive some books are to our lives and destroy them before others are harmed. Won't someone think about the children?

29. Or he would have asked why someone isn't doing something to help
Kind of like those commercials where a group of people are talking about a piece of litter and how it upsets them but none of them reach down and pick it up.

"Coming to the aid of any choking person is socialist in nature, and opens the way for liberal trial lawyers to come in and attack our honest, hardworking capitalist way of life." ;)

Good story, Pete. Thanks for posting.
