5. Two grocery stores, over a dozen restaurants, five bars...
maybe two dozen retail stores.

But no gas station, no Starbucks, no department stores, no pharmacy.

All within a quarter-mile walk.

6. No, not only that
there's no sidewalk, no safe place to walk. It is however, doable by bicycle, I think. It's about 2 miles. That's a mediocre grocery though. Their produce is pretty good, and if I need just deli stuff, toilettries, or frozen things, then it's OK. But meat or fish. :puke:

I might consider making that trip when gas reaches 5/gal.

7. Only convenience stores
There are two little strip malls, one 7-11 and one local convenience store plus a beverage distributor. We can get coffee, beer and Big Gulps on foot. No way to avoid driving to by the basic food and stuff. Gas prices aren't my biggest worry, though. It's the overall inflation together with increased heating and electric bills. We have much less control over that than we do in how much we drive. We've cut to the max to handle those things and knowing that they're going to keep skyrocketing without commensurate increase in income is kind of scary.

8. What the fuck are you doing?
Switching from a "how far is your walk..."

To some Clinton bullshit.

Games grow tired, quickly.

You wasted my time, HotRod.
