Why didn't HRC just use this week and the next as a graceful farewell tour?
Why didn't she just give conciliatory valedictory speeches about unity and about her campaign and what she thought it had meant?

If she'd done that she'd be in no trouble today and people would think much better of her.

3. Sometimes a politician is speaking to a lone nut job, not to the rest of us
A part of me thinks Hillary was hoping her comments about assassination would be heard by just such a person.

She still wants to win, and she no longer cares how.
