However she meant it...
what should be giving people pause is the number of times this woman has shot her mouth off in deeply offensive or outright careless ways, including that "obliteration" gaffe which had international fallout. If this level of disconnect between the brain and the lips would be what could be expected of Clinton in office, then let's just keep Bush. We wouldn't have to learn a new lexicon.

I think she is grossly incompetent. Her manipulative use of language, Brownie-type personnel selection, inattention to fiscal management, and the huge sense she has that the nation somehow owes the presidency to her and her family is not a bit different than what we already have.

Time for a change!

2. Many people who HRC has thrown "under the bus" agree that she's the most *self-righteous* person ...

that they have EVER met. Oh wouldn't that be "a joy" not to mention her penchant for micro-management? :eyes:

3. so correct, I have never understood
why people say she's so smart and politically savvy.

Her campaign 'gaffes' and management betray her real stupidity and political ineptitude.

Not to mention she trusted Bush on IWR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4. Ready one day one...
to do something truly politically unfortunate. Bill was ready on day one ... to do the things that gave the congress to Republicans in 1994.

The Clintons: bringing you episode upon episode of pointless political drama since 1992. "will they win this one?" "how are they ever going to get past this?" "will he serve out his full term?" and so it went. I know the daytime soap operas are lame, but why go to this for a substitute? Some of us (seems like most) don't want to watch.

That and what Flagranny said below. We need no more incompetence at the head of the government.

Hillary's choice of Penn is equivalent to Bush's choice of Brownie. Don't yell at me, though, I didn't say that.

I was unaware of yet another in the long list of Bush's pet names. I thought he meant this:

7. Hillary is a walking, talking 24/7 disaster. Open mouth, insert foot.
She would be a constant embarrassment as VP.

9. If this were true, Obama would have pulled out way ahead of her. But he didn't.
Edited on Sat May-24-08 06:53 AM by Perry Logan
Let's face it, Obama's momentum petered out, while support for Hillary has held its own. Either millions of voters are stupid and racist, or you're out to lunch.

Either way, your comments are divisive and damaging to the party, not that this ever dissuades Obamites.

10. My comments are my opinions and I see lots of parallels between
what we have had for the past decade and the way Clinton operates. My opinion. I'm entitled to it.

11. I think comparing her to Bush is pushing it
Even with the stupid crap her campaign has done I still say Sen. Clinton would be far far far better than what we've endured with the shrub. And she'd be better than McCain no doubt.
But the notion that the Clintons are some sort of political geniuses has been shattered. Maybe they've lost their touch. Maybe it was just luck that Perot ran in '92. Whatever the case, she's not getting the nomination and I'm glad.

18. It's more than a little different from Bush but there are chilling similarities
Not thinking past Super Tuesday comes to mind.
Another chilling similarity is the over-the-top loyalty of her supporters. When valid criticisms have been raised against Bush, his supporters will accuse Dems of being "Bush-haters" instead of stopping to think that maybe they have a valid point, and maybe they based their criticisms on what he was doing. Same with Hillary supporters, who have now closed their minds and will defend her no matter what, calling anyone who brings such things up a "Hillary-hater" rather than address the actual points raised.
