Clinton doesn't want Obama dead. She just said something incredibly stupid.
That being said, the media will rake her through the coals for this...rather unfortunately, but considering how she made such a huge deal over 'bittergate,' you could say that this is karma.
Anyway...that is that.

1. Clinton wants to be President.
And her statement was a way to get people thinking "what if something DOES happen to Obama -- we'd better not count her out yet."

And I agree about the payback over bittergate.

I'm sure he won't be using it in speeches though, like she did with the bitter fiasco.

2. Of course she doesn't "want" him dead
She's just warning people of what might happen so maybe the supers shouldn't vote for him.

9. Yes, the inclusion of the word "want" makes it a Straw Man.
Would she turn down the nomination if said hypothetical took place?

The question is obviously rhetorical. Nevertheless, I believe she would accept the nomination, but lose the general election because a great number of Americans would assume she had something to do with the loss of Obama.

She is no longer a viable candidate no matter how people interpret her intentions.

3. Problem as I see it Elrond is that
she is a lawyer and a politician as well as a senator. Her words are always, always chosen carefully. They don't just come out of her mouth without being weighed.

10. Isn't the m$$$fm smoothing this over with
"hilary apologized"? So hilary doesn't have give an amazing speech on coming together and no more assassination talk. She doesn't have to disown whatever Ghoul advised her 3 fucking times to, gratuitiously, bring up Bobby Kennedy's assassination in June?

Going to drop a house on her
Going to throw a bucket of water on her

Playing with fire, and going to get burned
Going to get what she deserves

She voiced her strategy perfectly yesterday: it's all she has left. Why the hell do you think she said it?

This last stupid comment she made is the last straw IMO. She is not qualified to be president.

But I'm not entirely prepared to concede that there couldn't possibly any element of "Nice little candidate you got there. Be a shame if anything were to happen to him." in what she said -- especially since she's said similar things previously.

Nope, she's not all that innocent.

23. Considering how the Clinton campaign milked bittergate,
they deserve everything coming at them over the RFK remark. It might have been unintentional, but so was the "bitter" comment and that's still be used against Obama.

24. Sorry, I don't put anything past *anyone*
That's why you always see people so surprised when someone turns out to be a killer. "He always seemed like such a good, quiet neighbor..."

You never know what someone is truly thinking unless you're in their head.

I don't know what Hillary really meant, but at this point there aren't many options for her to win this nomination that don't involve Barack Obama not being in the picture one way or another. She hasn't even opted for suspending the campaign, as has been pointed out that she could do and still get the nomination "just in case".

No, she's done way too much dog-whistling to "hardworking white people" and has fanned the flames of faux feminist outrage and voter disenfranchisement outrage and then - surprise! - conveniently mentions for the 3rd or 4th time a certain young, handsome, popular, idealistic senator who so happened to be cut down on his path to the Democratic nomination.

Nope. I don't put anything past her and I haven't trusted her since she pushed the "He isn't a Muslim...as far as I know" button.

Why she gets pass after pass after pass confounds me.
