Hillary Clinton's greatest Hopes are my worse Fears
Her last great hope to propel her campaign into a winning one have been my worse fears for quite some time now.

Whether it is that America is not "ready" to elect a "Black" biracial person, or that "something might happen to Obama or his campaign", these forebodings are based on nothing more than cynical wishes and hopes eminating from her and her campaign.

Whenever one is waiting, hoping and wishing that something terrible happens to the opponent in order to win, it speaks volumes.

She is depressing me while she waits for the worse to happen to a great Democrat in hopes that this translates into success for herself.

That's why it is Hillary's time to go. She's like a dark cloud over our political fortunes.

2. But the true nightmare is Obama
There is no logical reason for supporting him except people love...love ..love American Idol

They vote their little hearts out for a crappy singer that they identify with because they

have shallow meaningless lives

BO is just like an American Idol contestant. His only talent is reading from a teleprompter

and one day all the little groupies will discover he is just like Milli Vanilli

They got sucked in by a no talent Fraud

36. But preventing Hillary from becoming President might save lives.
Edited on Sun May-25-08 10:10 PM by Buck Rabbit
I am afraid The Goddess of Cluster Bombs longs to be a war president as much as George did.

Nothing like toasting a few hundred thousand brown skins in the name of setting up re-election in 2012. And can't see where she gives a shit about the fate of Muslims. Search for any statement of regret or apology for her role in what has happened to millions of Iraqis.

Yes to IWR
No to Levin
Continued support for the invasion even after UN inspections confirmed the absence of WMDs.
Yes to using cluster bombs on civilians.
Support for Israeli bombings of noncombatants in Lebanon.
Yes to the bullshit set-up for attacking Iran.

On foreign policy she seems to me to be every bit as bad as Bush/Cheney.

Keeping Hillary out of office on its own could save millions of lives. She scares me more than McCain, who doesn't have to prove his Military chops like Bush or Hillary.

And guess what, I have never been an Obamatron, I voted for him as the best chance to keep a neo-con's finger off the trigger. That is my logic.

4. A great deal of what is besetting the Clintons is the power of the internet.
Edited on Sat May-24-08 03:42 PM by truedelphi
It is like the internet has offered the ability to pull the curtain back from hiding that couple's inner workings. ANd what we see is that they aren't anything but very mortal, very self-centered politicians, who put their interests first above America's.

6. Hillary is the antithesis of Obama's campaign theme of hope and change.
She has exposed her true self in this campaign and that stands in stark contrast to Barack Obama who emanates hope and change and all the good things this country used to stand for.

The endgame is already written. Barack Obama will be the next president of the United States and will restore and implement the basic tenets of the Democratic Party in his governance.

He makes me proud to be a Democrat. :D

15. What are the basic tenets of the Democratic Party?
Edited on Sun May-25-08 07:58 AM by LibFromWV
Which Democratic party? The one that wants us Democrats that support HRC to go away?

I like this one

By the tenets of the Democratic Party, each individual also has responsibilities toward society and the nation. Each one of us – by Democratic point of view – has the obligation to respect human life, to respect the rights of others, to be tolerant, to be honest, to have self-control, to respect property of others, and to participate in the democratic processes of this nation.

That seems to exclude false supporters of unity, hope and change.

22. for a start, the sense of rules and fair play
something Hillary Clinton feels she is above ...

She lost this nomination process months ago but rather than doing the right thing which is accepting her defeat and bowing out like every other candidate has done so far, she is exploiting the "isms" and casting doubt on what a win actually looks like all the while throwing the victim card around in the hopes of skating above the chaos she is creating. She is giving her supporters false hope with her incessant moving of goalposts, inciting anger and bitterness among her supporters.

Any bad feelings at the end of this process will be entirely of Hillary's making. It isn't the responsibility of Obama, his followers, or anybody else for that matter within the party to herd cats. Nor will the rest of the party be held hostage to sour grapes.

24. Obama does indeed support the ideals
of the party. The supporters of unity, hope and change are nothing close to that. How many posts have told Democrats to go away and join the repukes? How many posts have told us we are less than you because we support another Democrat? How many times were we called racist? That is YOUR democratic party? No the bad feelings are aimed exactly where they should be, on the shoulders of every ignoramus post suggesting we are not part of this party. Not at Obama, not at HRC but to those who made it seem like we are no longer welcome. Your candidate will get my support when nominated, the supporters can go pack sand.

26. and that's blaming aimed at supporters of a candidate that had the audacity to win
Like I said, Hillary is sowing the seeds of bitterness and apparently you plan to cash in that bitterness by blaming Obama's supporters for your bitterness, discomfort and disappointment, all based on the chatter on a message board. Well, that'll show us. Right?

I'd offer you a pony to assuage your icky feelings at the demise of the candidacy you support, but I don't think anything would fill the victim void you have hollowed out in your mind. Good luck with all that. The movement for the greater good is already in progress. Be there or be square.

It's like the DLC running for the presidency, rather than the person inside the pantsuit running for office. It's disturbing, to say the least.

Yesterday's display allowed us to see her soul. Not pretty.

maybe she is so self centered she doesn't care if he does die just so she can be President.

31.  Bottomline is that
Hillary does "wish" and "Hope" that the Obama campaign will implode, disolve, disappear, whatever. She's longed for this for a long time. Why would that be "good" for anyone but Hillary? That's my point.....

I said the same thing that I am saying here for months. Maybe you haven't been paying attention.
Here's a thread going back to March of this year, basically saying the same thing.

ETA: Rainbow Brite
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Murky is the main villain from The Pits. In one episode it is revealed that, as a toddler, he colored on the walls with crayons, markers, paints, rollers, and finally an industrial airbrush. His mother made him wash off "every bit of color, if it takes all day, if it takes the rest of your life," leading Murky to his hatred of color as an adult. He loves to invent devices to create gloom clouds which remove color and make people hopeless. He is constantly trying to capture the Color Kids or take Rainbow Brite's Color Belt. His full first name is Murkwell.

42. Respectfully, Frenchie, I think you got this one wrong...
Her choice of campaign tactics, strategy, advisors, speech, actions and surrogates leave a hell of a lot to be desired and are enough to make me wish her to get out of public life.

But, I honestly believe that if you got her after she's rested up and remembered who she is her greatest hopes probably align pretty well with most of ours here on this board. She's a victim of her own ambition.
