Schwarzenegger Won't Use Muscle for Bush
NewsMax.com
Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2004
President Bush didn't help Arnold Schwarzenegger during California's recall mess. Now the governor is repaying the non-favor.

Schwarzenegger will not use his political muscle for President Bush by campaigning for him outside California, USA Today reported in a page-one story Wednesday.

THIS IS FROM A RIGHT WING WEBSITE.

3. Arnold sees Bush going down
Supporting Bush in California will NOT help Arnold, but I suppose he figures he has no choice. I expect a half hearted "support the candidate of my party" thingy

4. Good!
During the recall election, the single biggest fear I had about Arnold winning was that he would provide extra help to Bush's election efforts.

I don't like a number of things that he's doing as governor, but I'm sleeping a lot easier knowing that the one thing I feared the most about him winning has not come to pass after all. I've already seen a couple of other articles which also talked about how Arnold won't go the extra mile for Bush.

9. I think this is more about his not being able to leave his state in these
days of urgency. He took over the governorship, after all, because CA was in quite a state (you should pardon the pun). So I think he probably feels as if he cannot leave the state at this time to travel the country. He needs to stay close to business (Bush would not be able to relate to THAT, of course).

Then again, maybe it IS a payback. But I don't know if he'd risk the ire of Bush and the RNC, whose backing he needs to run for President in 2008, if Kerry wins.

11. Arnold is intelligent enough
to know that he doesn't want to get tied to an extremist loser like chimp. Here in CA you better be a moderate and that is what Arnie is aiming for cause he wants a second term.

12. As an ex Californian I have to ask
What's moderate about a sexual harassing, steroid taking goof ball who 'admires' certain qualities of Hitler. Wish I had some of what my beloved native state is smoking! Good luck getting rid of this clown!
