Hukster jokes about Obama being shot, no outrage on DU...
...Hilary comments about RFK's assasination, no reference to Obama (although some promoted it like she did) and the world as we know it ends here at DU.

Do you realize how ridiculous this place has become?

The Good Rev. Huckabee is an conservative imbelicle of the highest order who happens to be from a southern state. There are evil conservative assholes o' plenty infesting every corner of our republic. Region has little to do with it anymore.

28. wow this is todays total bullshit post o'the day winner
congratulations.

Here is a clue: of course there was outrage on DU over Huckster's fucked up little stunt. What is ridiculous is trying to defend Clinton over her latest gaffe by claiming that 'well we didn't get upset when Huckabee joked about killing Obama'. You have put Clinton's remarks on parity with that crap, a low it had previously failed to reach.

Here is another clue: you should let it sink. The Obama campaign is not flogging her with this. Bringing it up again, even if you think your doing so is going to help her, is not going to help her, it is going to keep her complete fuck up last Friday fresh on everyone's mind.

they are outraged that anyone has the sexist misogynist NERVE to call her on her murder pimping
I'm old enough to know she said what she said to incite some feeble minded drone (AKA hillary supporter) to pick up his rifle and help her campaign
i will not give her the slightest benefit of doubt
she knew what she said
she said it on purpose
it HAD a purpose
she sent the clowns (hired spokes-mouths)out for the last 2 weeks with the "anything could happen" theme and when no fish nibbled that worm she decided to chum the waters
don't try to tell me that mccauliffe wasn't saying what she wanted said
your choice

or the stupidest woman in politics and doing it in full failure flail?
either way she needs to be kept away from any power forever

50. We were outraged and still in shock from Huckster when Hill slipped the gruesome reference in
The two gaffes are closely linked. Only a week or so apart. That's why I can't as easily dismiss her misstatement because it came on the heels of The Huckabee's little joke about Obama dodging bullets. And he was widely condemned. With that horrible macabre super-gaffe only a week or so earlier, we were still reeling when HRC dropped her casual calendar reference into the mix. So her statement touched that already jangled nerve and was thereby greatly amplified.

we expect that kind of shit from them. But at least he gave a honest and very quick apology for his remarks. Hillary? Not so much. And it is a complete and utter lie that there wasn't outrage here at DU regarding Huckabee's comments. I saw several threads regarding his statements. This is yet another delusional attempt to somehow make what Hillary said the fault of the Obama supporters. It's not. It's hers. She fucked up and she remains defiant and unapologetic for what she said which is why she and her little band of delusional supporters can all go straight to hell.

60. I was one who was not outraged at Huck's "joke"...
Let me explain... I felt that he was impulsively telling a joke that just went horribly wrong. I've done the same thing more times than I care to mention:blush: He is basically a well-meaning guy who has shwon grace and humility many times (for example he was one of Wright's most forceful defenders) The main reason that I gave him a pass though, was his immediate heartfelt and un-parsed apology.

WIth Hillary, she had made the statement or similar ones several times before- it wasn't an impulsive gaffe, it was a well-thought out part of her dialog. It seemed to me, to be indicative of her inner thoughts... very disturbing thoughts. (Now I'll agree that I have no way to know what her inner thoughts and motivations truly are, so this may not be rational on my part. I'm just explaining my thought processes here:)0 The main reason for my upset at Hillary is her anemic self-serving non-apology. She refuses to admit that she might have been wrong... and her comments today seem to indicate that she feels we are to be blamed for being upset. Sorry... not the kind of leader I want.

Plus she is a Dem, he is a Repub...

ANd I remember a whole lotta outrage on here at Huck's "joke... so much so that I was sliced a bit for speaking in his defense.

69. wrong on two counts
1) there was a abundance of outrage at the good reverend Huckabee for his allleged "joke;" and

2) it is entirely understandable that it is more upsetting to the constituency here to see one Dem obliquely raising the spectre of a rival Dem's murder than it is to see a consversative idiot doing what conservative idiots do.
