It's not just the Obamites, Obamatrons, Obamabots, whatever...
I spoke to a friend who works for the DNC this morning and he said that many of his co-workers are deeply troubled by what Hillary said (RFK assassination). While none of them believe it was not intentional, (there I tend to disagree), many believe it speaks to her lack of judgement and concern for the Democratic party. Of course many of you will think I'm full of shit, I don't really care. He is not a high level staffer, but he started out working for Hillary's campaign before he took the job with the DNC and I trust him on this....

6. Can you read?
He started out working for Hillary and as a career move took a job with the DNC, he is no Obama supporter and until recently he was sure hillary could pull off the win, of course hillbots think it's only Obamatons who see things this way, and of course, hillbots are wrong!

2. It was her non-apologetic non-apology that sealed the deal for me.
Edited on Sun May-25-08 04:34 PM by IanDB1
Anyone still supporting Hillary can go fuck themselves.

Did I say that?

I'm sorry if any members of The Kennedy Family found my words offensive.

All better now, right?

7. When someone studies what all has been
said by hilary and her surrogates since she's been referencing RFK's assassination in JUNE then they will see how many twisted lies they can't even keep straight.

Why did she say it those others times when Ted Kennedy was not on her mind? hilary gives a non apology to the Kennedys and intelligent people are concerned about OBAMA.

In 50 words or less, answer the following question.

Eyes on your own paper. No profanity. Neatness counts:

"If it doesn't bother Robert Kennedy, Jr., why should it bother me?"

15. It's funny, actually...
when I asked the same poster for some evidence of Obama supporters being hateful and irrational, he posted links to Clinton supporters claiming that Obama supporters were hateful... as though that proved it.

It was pretty sad. This guy's just a schill.

12. Because he is not her opponent
and he is not going to be running for office in June. Because he is one of her backers and perhaps there is something in it for him if he helps her win. Because you are an individual and should think for yourself and decide for yourself what is appropiate and not. If it doesn't bother you individually, then so be it. Personally, it bothered me when I first heard her say it, her apology bothered and they both still bother me. In fact I have been bothered ever since I first heard them use the terms they use as why she should still be running. Because............

13. Bear this in mind, those who may be tempted to make excuses for her:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dk1k0nUWEQg

Obama says to let it pass, as it was no doubt just "one of those things" that happens during a long and grueling campaign. I fully concur. Let it pas, and concentrate on UNITY; November beckons and there's NO margin for error this time. But there's no cause to let it slip into the Memory Hole either.

And let's all try to be a lot more charitable to each other here on DU! A few may be recent agent provocateurs via Limbag, but NOT all that many!

18. Ironically,
HRC's rhetoric calls for more loyalty to the Democratic Party than Obama's does. She frequently focuses on Democrats and the Democratic Party as the cure for what ails us.

Obama speaks about the "excesses" of the 60s and 70s, praises Ronald Reagan for "changing the trajectory" of the nation away from those "excesses," (liberal advances,) he reaches out to homophobes and republicans, while throwing the liberal left under the bus. His campaign is taking the Democratic Party further to the right, and we haven't even reached the convention, let alone the GE yet. How far to the right will the party go if he actually becomes POTUS?

I won't argue the point about HRC's "lack of concern about the Democratic Party." I'm not a fan, and I have no campaign ax to grind.

It's only just, though, to point out that Obama is not any better.

Do you need links? Here ya go:

<snips>

CLINTON: The differences among us are minor. The differences between us and the Republicans are major. And I don't want anybody in America to be confused.

But I think it's important to point out that we have done this before -- not in ancient history, but within our memory. And we can do it again once we have a Democratic president.

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0706/03/se.01.html

Just a few links. There are plenty more. Every time I've heard her speak, HRC says something supportive about Democrats and the Democratic Party.

Obama frequently says things more supportive of republican agendas than democrats'.

19. how can one "not" be disturbed by her lack of judgement. She didn't
need this at this point in her campaign so yes they have much concern I'm afraid....that is why they are so troubled...it is the "perception" and the "press"....
