Is Hawaii going to announce some delegates today?

I just checked -- it's currently 1:33 pm there, so maybe it's a little early.

Someone had posted that the party (or something) was meeting today.

Sunday. May 25, Hawaii Democrats hold their State Convention, followed by a meeting of the State Central Committee, at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort in Waikiki, and name their add-on, and also select a new state party chair and vice-chair, both of whom immediately become superdelegates. Obama won the Hawaii Caucuses. Candidates for the Chair position are Annelle Amaral and Brian Schatz. Schatz is a former member of Obama's campaign in Hawaii, and has been endorsed by Obama. Amaral is a Clinton supporter but has committed to voting for Obama at the convention. In addition, Obama has endorsed James Burns, former chief judge of the state Intermediate Court of Appeals, for the add-on position. Update: Obama supporters are also backing Maui teacher Kari Luna for vice chair.

"Registration for delegates and alternates will continue from 7 to 8 a.m., Sunday, May 25.

The floor session will start at 8:30 a.m. with the announcement of the results of Saturday's elections, presentation of a videotaped message by Senator Daniel Inouye, and the election by open ballot of the State Party Chair, National Committeeman and National Committeewoman.

Senator Daniel Akaka will speak at about 11:45 a.m.The convention will conclude at about noon with a candidate rally.

The incoming State Central Committee will meet immediately after the convention's formal adjournment to elect its officers and select additional delegates to the National Convention. The Young Democrats will also meet immediately after the convention's formal adjournment. The National Convention delegates will meet upon adjournment of the State Central Committee meeting."
