any polls yet on swiftboat reaction

are the masses buying it or will it backfire/

my neighbor who is a lifelong republican says that its the dirtiest political smear he's ever seen, so his reaction should give us some hope

voting for * or real deal?

i think there's enough deniability/separation built in that all the swift boat thing can do is hurt kerry. i don't see any real backlash against bush, unless kerry is willing to really go on the offensive about it, and that's risky, and frankly, i'd rather see him direct his energy toward more pressing issues than those lying sacks of shit.

This thread says the ads are hurting Kerry and the Republicans are probably about to put a lot more money into the Swift Boat ads:

Others have noted no major drop for Kerry in the tracking polls.

This whole Swift Boat thing is not dying, it's getting bigger and the Democrats are going to have to do something to put a stop to it, or the Republicans are going to spend millions on it and other similar smears because they will know that Democrats will let them.

Clinton has said that right wingers must be punished for these kinds of attacks. So far, they remain unpunished.
