PRESS CREDENTIALS:
White House press credentials will be required for coverage of all OPEN PRESS events. To obtain press credentials please FAX (on company letterhead) to our local press advance office (503) 737-2742 the following information for each individual.
NAME, AFFILIATION, POSITION (REPORTER, PHOTOGRAPHER, ETC.) DATE OF BIRTH AND SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER.
**Please note which event each individual will cover.
Your request must be FAXED to our office (503) 737-2742 no later than 1:00 p.m., Thursday, August 12, 2004. Credentials will be issued at each event site on the date of the event. Every member of the press will be required to produce ONE of the following forms of identification:
*National, State or local press credential
*Police or Fire Department-issued press credential
*Letter of introduction on company letterhead (NO FAX OR PHOTOCOPIES)
WILL BE ACCEPTED) accompanied by a government-issued photo ID.
SUMMARY OF SCHEDULED PRESS EVENTS
ARRIVAL OF AIR FORCE ONE OPEN PRESS
7:15 a.m. - 8:15 a.m.
Media wishing to cover the arrival of Air Force One must pre-set equipment (sticks, cables, etc) on the tarmac. Credentials will be issued on site to members of the media who submitted a credential request. Media should enter at the Main Gate at Portland Air National Guard. All equipment and LIVE trucks must be in place no later than 8:15 a.m. Media that do not need to pre-set equipment should arrive to the Main Gate at Portland Air National Guard at 8:15 a.m.
8:15 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.
The United States Secret Service conducts a security sweep of the area. All members of the media will be asked to leave the premises and return upon completion of the sweep.
10:15 a.m.
Doors will re-open for members of the media to be escorted to the tarmac for the arrival of Air Force One. Credentials will be issued to members of the media who submitted a credential request and did not need to pre-set equipment. All media personnel must be in place by 10:30 a.m.
10:45 a.m.

REMARKS AT THE PORT OF PORTLAND OPEN PRESS
6:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m.
Media wishing to cover the President's remarks at the Port of Portland should proceed to the Port of Portland, Terminal 6 - Main Gate to pre-set equipment (sticks, cables, etc.). All satellite/microwave trucks and equipment must be in place no later than 7:00 a.m. on Friday, August 13, 2004.
7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
The United States Secret Service conducts a security sweep of the premises. All media personnel will be asked to leave the premises and return upon completion of the sweep.
9:00 a.m.
Doors will re-open for media to check-in and be escorted to the main camera platform. Credentials will be issued to members of the media who submitted a credential request. Media check-in will be located in the Parking Lot of the Administration Building. All media must be in place by 10:30 a.m.
11:10 a.m.

Media wishing to cover the President's remarks at Ask President Bush should proceed to Southridge High School, Main Gym - East Side to pre-set equipment (sticks, cables, etc.). All satellite/microwave trucks and equipment must be in place no later than 8:00 a.m. on Friday, August 13, 2004.
8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.
