What will this place be like the day Hillary resigns??????
Will there be some gloating?

Will there be some old bookmarked posts bumped just to say "I told you so"?

Will there be the Hillary fans posting "I won't vote for him"?

It will be an interesting day. I am sure people will burn through their 3 posts in record time.

I for one CANNOT wait until that day comes. It should have come after Obama won 11 i a row after Super Tuesday.

13. I wish someone would dig up the first poll of candidates
to see how many people originally picked Obama. I was a Kucinich, Edwards, then Obama supporter myself.

36. She may "suspend" but never "resign" or concede
Suspending her campaign leaves the door open for any filthy rich people with money enough to throw away and who want to risk an investment in the future chance that she may run again to help her pay off her campaign debts and loans.

I won't gloat (Skinner says anyone who gloats is a "jerk" and he's right) because there won't be a moment of time to waste to take the fight to McCain, but I think getting rip roaring drunk the night it's official might be OK.

37. And there was great rejoicing from the multitudes!
I think you will see the Hillary bashing stop almost instantly. Most people will just be grateful this primary is over - from BOTH sides.

There will be some celebrating that some people construe as "gloating". But that's only natural after such a long, hard, bitter fight. We will deserve some celebration time - just like the Giants deserved to celebrate their big win over the Patriots in the Superbowl.

There will be some temper tantrums. There will be a few saying "I won't vote for him". But mostly I think there will be deafening silence from Hillary supporters. Would Patriots fans go to a Giants bar the night of their super bowl loss?

What I would LIKE to see happen:
Respectful celebration from Obama supporters. Nothing personal. Not rubbing anything in. Nothing bad about Hillary. Just celebrating our hard work and our win. I would like to see Obama supporters say to Hillary supporters, "Congratulations on such a hard fought race. All of us have backed candidates before who haven't won, so we know it's hard for you right now. I understand that you'll need some time, but we hope you will join your fellow democrats in supporting Barack Obama soon."

I would like Hillary supporters to be able to say to Obama supporters, "Congratulations on such a hard fought race and on your win. I hope to get to a point soon where I can support Obama against McCain." Understand that the celebration is not meant to be a slap in the face. Understand that all the celebrating is about our win, not your loss. And understand that you may feel very differently about Obama in a few days, or weeks, or months. Understand that getting a Democrat - ANY Democrat - in the white house is more important that hurt feelings or the loss of your candidate.
