I will cease my attacks on Hillary Clinton....
....when Hillary Clinton ceases her attack on the Democratic party and the Democratic nominee.

Until then, Hillary Clinton is an enemy no different than the Republican attack machine.

I'm sorry, but those are the facts. Barack Obama has been the Democratic nominee for about 2 months now. In a little over a week, apparently, it will be "official". By the end of August, it will be officially official. Either way, we have a supposed "Democrat" continuing to speak out against him, continuing to run ads against him, continuing to attempt to subvert the nomination that he has rightfully earned through the rules and regulations set forth by the DNC prior to the primary process.

I fully expect attacks on Barack Obama from the Republicans, from the right wing media, from the corporate interests. But from fellow Democrats? Sorry, that is unacceptable. Her irrelevance doesn't make her attacks any less harmful to the Democratic nominee's chances in November. Do not underestimate the opponent. That is the mistake she made which cost her the nomination. Barack obama cannot afford to ignore her until she completely withdraws from this asinine crusade of hers.

If Clinton loyalists are going to continue to delude themselves into thinking she can still win that which she has already lost, the rest of us are going to counter them. Don't talk about "unity" from one side of your mouth while tearing down the Democratic Nominee for president from the other. If you really want unity, then you'll urge your candidate to drop out before the damage done to Mr. Obama becomes overwhelming and irreversible.

we should be catapulting.

20. Exactly!
It is time to start cataloging all the good stuff to hit McCain with, and, boy, there is a ton of good stuff to be found. There is a proverbial cornucopia of facts to nail him. We need to start doing what DU is best at, research, imo.

25. That's where I think you're wrong
She is still there, attempting to subvert his nomination. Ignoring her is the worst mistake Obama and the rest of us can make. The Clinton's still have enormous power and the second we turn our backs is the second they will strike. I will not underestimate them.

3. If Obama tanks in November, it's HIS fault an no one elses.
skin that cat no matter how you want. STILL his fault. He could have fixed this long ago, but he and his attack dogs chose to paint the other candidate as a liar, a traitor, and a racist, slopping the paint on her supporters.

You carry on the war, your problem. Period. Especially if your claim is he's already won. If so, then why does he or his campaign have to say ANYTHING about Clinton?

Good question I think.

are so predictable if nothing else.

Hillary painted herself into the role of liar all on her own.

Her remarks about white and black voters were meant to ignite the flames of racism.

No one had to send any attack dogs anyplace - she brought her own.

(edit to remove the f bomb)

14.  Unbelievable
no one painted her as a liar, racist or Traitor (and I don't think I ever heard that one) she did it all by herself. Sniper fire in Bosnia...did Obama ever bring that up? White people vote for me...I never heard Obama say anything about the millions of white people who voted for him. You know life is not fair. I've supported lots of candidates who didn't win...and I certainly never carried on like you Hillbots. Today was the last straw..."all the polls say I'm the most electable." Has she seen the polls about her truthiness, her likeability? Total BS

35. Do Hillary supporters live in Opposite Land?
First of all she is a liar. Second, her actions right now make her a traitor. Third, she may not be a racist, but she has exploited racism to advance herself in this primary.

I don't know how any of that is Obama's fault, but I do know that his chances in November are being hurt right now because of the inherent opportunity cost of having to contend with both John McCain and Hillary Clinton for the next three months.

I am sick of the apathy that the Clintons are counting on. They think 4 years from now we will forget and forgive. We will get over all of their gross misconduct. They bank on American apathy. Not this time Hillary. There are high school students that can't vote today but will be able to vote in 2012. They will not forget your disgusting politics. They are young and not jaded, therefore they will be voting with a pure heart, not the lesser of 2 evils. I will not forget, and I will do my part to bring back all of the vile things you have done this go around. Don't bank on my apathy, count on my memory.

But the Democratic process continues, and no amount of foot stomping and whining on your part is going to change that. Well, in fact, you're just simply gonna have to get over it.

There's nothing wrong with what Hillary is doing, and I actually respect the heck out of her for it. Boo hoo for you that you have to wait just a wee bit longer for this all to be settled. Too bad sooooo sad.

Feel free to commence your foot stomping now.

It's the Hillary supporters that continue to foot stomp. Why oh why can't we be nice to Hillary Clinton? Where is the unity?

If anyone has to "get over" anything, it's Hillary Clinton and her supporters who have to get over the fact that she lost the nomination.

Your guy is the one who spews that empty platitude over and over.

Obama is not the nominee yet and he can be attacked by Hillary and her supporters, right now he's just another candidate. Furthermore, he will probably continue to be attacked even if he becomes the nominee. The party is not a collective and it's evident that it's now split in two factions: the left wingers and the centrists. The battle between these two factions will continue well into the GE.

46. "If you really want unity...." That's the thing, they don't.
And they don't care if it damages Obama because it's not about party to them. They want it to damage him. They want him to lose so neo-lib Hillary can go again in 2012. As if she won't be rejected again. As if she gives a fuck about anything other than herself and her corporate masters. They don't realize that half of the Democratic party and all of everyone else HATES her and have long before this primary. Not dislike, not indifferent, HATE. But they don't care because "she's the only one who can win" in their deranged minds.

Part of me wants Obama to just say "go ahead and take it you fucking scumbag crybaby" and let her get crushed in the general and be gone for good. The rest of me, the part that cares about the less fortunate and our standing in the world, is for winning back the White House and getting big majorities in Congress.

It's going to be a long, ugly summer.
