Rupert Murdoch Says Obama Will Win

Hillary Rosen | Huffington Post | Posted May 29, 2008 | 01:20 AM (EST)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Carlsbad, CA -- Tonight at the http://allthingsd.com/d">"All Things Digital" conference sponsored by the Wall Street Journal. Rupert Murdoch -- Chairman of News Corp, new WSJ owner, and longtime torchbearer for conservative politics -- said this about Barack Obama: "He is a rock star. I love what he is saying about education. I think he will win and I am anxious to meet him."

About the presumptive Republican nominee, Murdoch said, "McCain is a friend of mine. But I think he's got a lot of problems. He has been in Congress a long time, and you have to make a lot of compromises. So what's he really stand for?... I think he has a lot of problems."

Update: More on Murdoch's speech from http://www.alleyinsider.com/2008/5/murdoch_u_s_economy_in_for_a_very_hard_time_">Silicon Alley Insider.

2. Oh dear, I hope he is not trying to hitch his horse to Obama's wagon
Now that his Filly has lost.
We don't need his endorsement, that could be a code he is sending out to his hit-men
Well as I do everytime I hear something that doesn't set will in my heart, I pray about it.

Heavenly Father,
Protect Obama from All EVIL, no weapon formed against Obama
Shall prosper in Jesus name
Amen

6. Of course he is hitching his horse to Obama....

That's how politics work in this country. He only supported Hillary before because she looked like the winner. Now the tables have turned, and so has he. No surprise.

Obama's not immune to this, and with all due respect I doubt your prayer will make it so.

7. Trying to hitch-up now won't help him.
Besides, he's an Aussie. They drive on the wrong side of the road anyways....

4. Well, they should let McCain know.
Before he spends all his wife's money on yet another failed presidential campaign.

5. Well, I'll bet it won't be....
...his wife telling him. She just gets cussed out and called the "C" word when she pisses him off.

- And pissing him off seems to be quite easy to do....
