the content is truthful. We need a Bush AWOL ad, now. We need a "Q&A at Bush rallies are 100% fucking staged" ad now. Nev. needs a nuclear waste dump ad, NOW.

(edited for succinctness)

2. He is correct in focusing on the economy
Polls show that Bush is increasingly weak in this area, and folks want to hear about things that actually affect their lives, not tit for tat sniping.

5. yes. no more mud. theres already plenty of swamp water. and
plenty of areas to go after * on that are part of peoples lives

the economy is a great place to start. someone said that mark shields suggested getting edwards out there on tv now, and beat up on an issue not only that * is very vulnerable on, but one that people care about

i think this would be great. just like wes clark did so beautifully regarding the war. edwards could do a masterful job and talk about the truth of where the economy and health care etc really are

ps: so glad to hear * said on lkl that he doesnt sense any anger out there.... where to even start on that ludicrous remark! though its just one of many unfortunately...

6. Like it or not, it's Rupert Murdoch's sleazy world. We just live in it.
it would be nice to take the high road just like it would be nice if people returned wallets with cash and it would be nice to not lock your door at night.

11. i hear you on that. im just saying that there are so many real issues
that most everyone cares about no matter their politics. people hurting in this economy and health care disaster etc are ways to combine hard hits but ones that people will tune into to hear more about

but i dont harbor illusions that their slime doesnt work or that were all too smart for that... too bad, thats for certain

13. Too bad, thats for certain, faithnotgreed. But it is what it is.....
I know how wrong it is to be nasty and sleazy and how it only begets more nastiness. And it is not lightly that I suggest we do so, but haven't we seen so many battles lost by blind idealists, unwilling to honestly assess the playing field only to regret it later, tenfold?
These guys are worse than we've ever dreamed. They must be stopped.

7. Total disconnect
Remember BushCo I? The same "there's nothing wrong" BS is a big part of what killed his election chances. How ironic that it's on the list of things that is also going to do in his retarded son.

It is so hard for me to understand why Repunks insist on telling us everything is ok when it clearly isn't. Do they really think people are so stupid that they aren't even aware of what is happening in their own lives?

3. I agree, but
I think Kerry does attack his record. The difference is that the Bushies have peripheral groups and entities that stir up virtual "scandals" all the time.

Just as B* rarely fires the heaviest attacks, I'm not sure Kerry should be the one to do it. I think he's best when he's ridiculing him, as he did with "turned the corner."

I also think it's going to matter most in October, but I know I could well be wrong.

I agree. I'd like to see Bush back on his heels.

17. I agree, just tell the TRUTH...
no need for spin, no need for massive complex ads, just use their own words and actions against them, my god, it would be SO EASY why AREN'T THEY DOING IT???

It's not going negative if you're just throwing the facts in their face.

10. The negative is better left to the PAC
Kerry can focus on the positive, educating the voters on his policies, should he be elected.

15. I hear what you're saying but...
Who will come out and say "I went AWOL with Bush."?

The swift boat ads are effective because they have real live people who were there specking.
