MEME: Republicans want to take the vote from the people
'Alan Keyes said Friday he would like to end the system under which the people elect U.S. senators and return to pre-1913 practice in which senators were chosen by state legislatures.'

In other words the Republicans have in mind to restructure our whole system of government, taking the people's invaluable right to vote away from them.

1. EXCELLENT!
That's why I say, the question needs to be posed to Bush:

"Do you endorse Alan Keyes for the Senate seat from Illinois?"

5. The dem attack dogs should be all over the airwaves

1. Republicans, in the person of the President, want to seriously
look at a national sales tax instead of the current income tax.

2. Republicans, in the person of the President, believe that only
people who own property are stakeholders in the future of America.

3. Republicans, in the person of a candidate for Senate of the
United States, believe that only state legislative members should
be able to vote for a candidate for the Senate of the United States.

4. The authors of "Unfit for Command" have expressed some of the most
racist and anti-Catholic rhetoric ever uttered by a public figure.

5. Republicans, in the person of a candidate for the House of
Representatives of the United States of America, believe in
eugenics (or racially based genetic selection).

And they call John Kerry "out of the mainstream"!
