CNN streaming the protesters live...
Edited on Sat May-31-08 08:23 AM by yourguide
Hahahahahaha...they are spread out in a long line with very little depth. Maybe just MAYBE 1000 folks tops. I think it likely more a few hundred.

***Image below not from this protest.***

7. Hey, she's cash strapped. that is all the models she could afford to hire
locally. I mean deficit spending is the the whole meme in Camp Hillary these days.
If she still had millions, I'd bet that she could have easily hired another 5-800 people to protest.

id rather keep any form of bigotry out of this.

the fact she cant accept losing should be reason enough as to why shes unfit to lead.

23. I was taken to protests all the time when I was a kid
I used to love to go to the pro-choice rallies when I was a kid. It's a good way to get kids politically active--let them start young.

27. I see no reason not to bring a child to this protest
I am NOT a Hillary supporter, but I doubt that this protest will get out of hand or violent. Fostering activism is a good thing and children learn by example. I hope they have photos to keep and show the child later. I don't agree with the premise of their protest, but I agree that protest is important to support your cause.

BTW, this shows very poor strategy on the part of the Hillary campaign. They publicly counted their chickens before they hatched, and now they have egg all over their faces.

26. No. They are not. They are asking to have their votes counted
You are so blinded by partisian that you are actually advocating the use of disenfranchisment to win a primary.

You should be ashamed of yourself. And to attack democrates just because they disagree with you is reprehensible.

I cannot believe you would use that "morans" picture, the one "we" have--to trash your own.

I really really want to tell you what to do with it, but I don't want to be banned for someone like you.

31. The only people blinded by partisanship are the protesters who won't abide by the rules of the party
And I didn't use the picture, the OP did. But to think that the protesters are innocent bystanders on your part is completely naive and in itself, biased.

25. Considering that the intent of this protest
is to continue the chaos and NOT to bring the party together but to support breaking the rules and fully seating 2 delegations when the elections werent fair, I think that photo is appropriate.

what I am offended by is the fact that HRC supporters WANT the rules to be ignored solely to favor their candidate...THAT is what is deeply offensive.

30. That is twisted distorted BS.
You are advocating the disenfranchisement of two states of voters for YOUR partisan politics.

Democrats do not advocate for disenfranchisement.

32. NO
I am advocating the RULES. Considering neither election was fair ESPECIALLY Michigan, I would suggest you really evaluate why it is you think it's so brilliant to fully seat these two states even though they broke the rules.

Democrats do not advocate for unfair elections and skirting the rules.

36. Rules? Obama took his name off, not for rules, but because he knew
he was losing in that state, and it was a political advantage for him. Do not even suggest that he would not be hollering for ALL VOTES to be counted if he had any chance of winning.

This is partisan for him. And BS for you to not know that.

How you could possibly think it is ok to disinfranchise voters is beyond me. But then to ridicule those who are protesting the fact that their votes are not counted, is crazy through-the-looking-glass talk.

38. Garbage and bullcrap. Hillary wouldn't be lifting a FINGER if she was ahead
THAT is the one plain truth. That is much more a given than anything Obama would do in the circumstance.

And I can tell you that I consider this effort on Michigan and Florida a moral abomination. This is not politics for me and this is not a game. This is about what is right and wrong. Fake elections don't get magically transformed into elections that count. That is not how our country is supposed to function.

39. Link?
Just a reminder...HRC agreed to those rules. She said herself "this election in michigan wont count for anything". Harold Ickes helped write these rules, Terry McAuliffe helped enforce these rules.

Utter nonsense. I am sorry for you that your candidate has lost but try showing some degree of fairness and common sense.

41. It be one thing
If the two states had followed protocol and forced the candidates to get signatures to get on the ballot in the first place like every other state.

However these two states put the candidates names on the ballot without their permission and without such an effort because a signature effort would constitute a campaign and no one would be on the ballot in the first place.

I'm advocating the enforcement of DNC rules that two states broke to keep the primary process in tact in future elections.

They get fully seated we will be having primaries in June of 2010 after the states are finished hop skotching each other.
