SCOTTSDALE - President Bush's visit to Phoenix on Wednesday may have fired up Republican voters, but it brought aviation to a halt for 19 hours at Scottsdale Airport.
The airport was expected to resume takeoffs and landings at 10 a.m. today after being closed by the Federal Aviation Administration since 3 p.m. Wednesday.

The most recent restriction covered a 10-mile-diameter circle centered on the Royal Palms Resort and Spa, 5200 E. Camelback Road, in northeast Phoenix, where Bush stayed Wednesday night.

If Republicans with valid tickets showed up at a Kerry rally, "we'd let them in," she said.
