Bush to cut forces in Europe, Asia
The decision is meant to "strengthen our ability to respond to threats overseas," one official said, declining to elaborate.

"It will improve our capability to protect America and our allies and ease some of the burden on our uniformed military members and their families," one official said.

The decision is sure to be a politically popular one at a time when Bush has refused to offer a timetable for bringing home the roughly 140,000 U.S. troops from Iraq.

This is from CNN.

Please tell me how this will "strengthen our ability to respond to threats overseas," ?????????????? if we remove our troops from Europe and Asia.

1. They mean we coulda done this before?? Strengthen our Forces
by reducing the numbers overseas? You mean we wasted all that money? We were giving the boys some tourist time in Europe on our dime? Is that what they mean?

2. Actually, I think it is kind of the same as his
Healthy Forests initiative, which actually means cut everything down, Clean Air, which means pollute.

C'mon, you know this by now. Orwell rules.
