Kerry has to deliver some "Sensitive War" to Mr. Bush's Ass

John Kerry is distinctly disadvantaged by the fact that Mr. Bush shares with Joe six-pack (and no-passport Jane) a beautifully limited vocabulary. Kerry cannot help but use words in ways that Mr. Bush does not understand and will happily caricature. So Lt. Kerry will have to SHOW what he means by “sensitive” by applying some “sensitive war” to Mr. Bush’s ass.

1. He needs to “sensitively” pin responsibility for the Vet Smear and its slander against the U.S. Navy directly and precisely on Smirky.

2. He needs to “meticulously” and “precisely” dismantle and destroy the credibility and effectiveness of the John O’Neil cabal of Republican smear operators and political hit men.

3. Kerry has to thoughtfully and “sensitively” nail Mr. Bush on the distinction between cutesy Nam-dodging in the Texas Guard and real commitment to service in the line of fire.

4. He has to be “sensitive” as in “precise” as he presses the cowardice and dishonor in the way young George Bush (in contrast to many honorable Guardsmen) got his guard assignment then disrespected his command and his obligations.

I don’t believe that the Kerry campaign has the resources to fully execute on this “sensitive Bush war,” but if Kerry takes the lead I am sure the 527’s will get the message and follow his example.

Mr. Bush understands “sensitive” as in “emotionally susceptible,” as in “my dear Chalabi, I know you are a wanted embezzler, and you are probably on the take of the Iranian Mullahs, but here is another $50 mill for being such a good sport on helping me con the people into supporting my little war.”

Mr. Bush understands “sensitive” as in “quick to take offence,” as in “The French won’t support me? Screw Chirac!”

It is time for Kerry to teach him another meaning, such as a smart “guided” missile dead-on the Presidential behind.

2. A-FREAKING-MEN!!!!!!

Kerry has to get RIGHT UP IN BUSH'S FACE and tell him, "I AM NOT GOING TO TAKE ANY MORE OF YOUR CRAP. You push me, I push you back--and then I send in my rapid response team." Not, "You push me, my spokesperson might get a comment out, and my rapid response team will get back to you in about a week because I have to stay on the positive high road!" Kerry has GOT to confront Bush's crap personally, and get a LOT more careful about what he says to the mainstream media. They're going to screw him anyway--the least he can do is stop giving them the screwdrivers!

5. what rapid response team? one he borrowed from Dukakis?
WHERE do you see ANY gasbags discussing his rapid responses?

I haven't

they are doing a TERRIBLE job of getting them out there, beyond the blogosphere.

course, maybe the media are CHOOSING to ignore, refusing to discuss them, perhaps?

could THAT possibly be?

nahhhh

still and all, dem surrogates need to ARM themselves in the same way the fascists do, with DAILY talking points, especially in response to the CONSTANT barrage of lies being spewed daily.

AND they need to figure out a way to turn those reponses, ala the judo/karate references made here, BACK on the pugs, as they so MISERABLY failed to do by NOT instantly poining out that Bush threatened to VETO the arms bill for which Kerry voted!!!!!

they STILL haven't made that point in the media, and Kerry specifically refused to address that when directly questioned by stephie a few weeks ago

that inFURIATED me!

8. Definitely a need for a harder edge to "response" and tougher surrogates.

3. Heard Gov. Brown on HardBall making point that Kerry's "sensitive"
Edited on Sun Aug-15-04 04:14 PM by Raya
probably is not Bush's. Among scientist, diplomats and military
and intelligence experts, Kerry's language (in context) made perfect
sense. But not to joe and jane average citizen. Bush's language
is closer to the public.

4. Brown said he interpreted "Sensitive" as in "precise," but few
pundits point out the varied usages of the word in different
contexts.

6. Cheney quoted Kerry out of context, it is what they do
Take a Kerry phrase or word out of context, misrepresent it, and make some huge mountain out of molehill. It is the same w their ads.

I would like to see the DNC take them on a little - early on, JK ran ads saying "Doesn't America deserve better than Misleading Ads from the bush campaign?" Would debunk one piece of BS and then enumerate 3 positive things Kerry would do as president.

10. Kerry = Competent; Bush = Incompetent
Even Joe Six-Pack can figure that one out. Talk about how Bush listens to tough-talking chickenhawks at the Pentagon, Kerry listens to respected voices like Colin Powell.

Note: Even if Colin Powell is permanently on your shit-list, Americans love the guy. Attach him to Kerry, who subscribes to the Powell Doctrine, and it will help people understand why Kerry is more competent.
