Counter Protests Planned for Republican Convention
http://rightmarch.com/nyc.htm

Protest the Radical Liberal Protesters in NYC!

ALERT: Remember our hugely successful counter-protest to the "March of the Radical Liberals" in Washington, D.C.? They outnumbered us 500-to-1 -- but WE got at least 25% of all the media coverage ... Just because we were willing to SHOW UP. <snip>

We're teaming up with the good folks at the Society for Truth and Justice again, for another "Operation Witness" event <snip>

RightMarch.com is now a leading sponsor of yet another one of the biggest counter-protests in history, which will take place on August 28, 29 and 30th, 2004 in New York City. <snip>

Our purpose at the Republican National Convention will be threefold: <snip>

2. To protest against the protesters. Many bizarre, left wing groups, have declared their intention to protest President Bush -- and traditional American values -- during the Republican National Convention. We will be there to counter-protest them! We know that the media would love to portray a "groundswell" of anti-Bush (and anti-American) sentiment in New York -- this will be our chance to contradict whatever lies they spew, and be seen and heard by the media.
<snip>

We have a discounted rate for "Operation Witness" at our protest HQ: the Belvedere Hotel, 319 West 48th Street, New York

. . Is it ok to link to their picture? I'll edit if not.

Comprehensive schedule

1. And I'd like to be there to protest the counterprotesters
or at least to protest (sincerely) The Belvedere for giving them the discount. (Now I know where I WON'T be staying the next time I go to NY!)

Someone needs to alert the media that these are fake protestors - just one more example of GOP hypocritical prevarication.

3. Address, Rates
From the page:

5. Protesting the Protesting, eh?
That is so redundantly retarded it makes my head hurt.

"how dare they dissent, we better get up there to dissent their dissention"

I love that protesting Bush is correlated with protesting AMERICAN VALUES. Funny, I was taught in 8th grade Civics class protesting WAS an american value, or, more importantly, a right!

6. Agreed. They don't like Liberal protests, though
Protests are ok, they just don't like liberal protests. These are counter-protests, not anti-protests. Protests against the Liberal subject matter, not protests against protesting.

That said, your 8th grade Civics class had it right!
