Hillary and supporters spend months trashing Obama and supporters, now want to make nice and be VP
Over the past few months, we've seen the following either directly from Hillary, or from her surrogates and supporters:

* openly mocking Obama's message of hope and change
* derisively referring to Obama supporters as a cult
* declaring that Obama would not be where he is now if he weren't black
* accusing Obama and supporters of being sexist
* trashing him because of his lack of experience
* Keith Olbermann's name dragged through the mud (along with many other fine progressives)
* continually bringing up Rezco, Ayers, and Rev. Wright
* supporters sending threatening letters to Pelosi and other superdelegates, threatening to withhold funding
* saying that Obama is "unelectable"
* dismissing Obama's success in caucus states because they're "sham caucuses"
* trying to change primary rules despite the fact that Ickes helped write the rules and voted to punish the two states
* bringing up RFK's assassination in June, then saying "anything can happen" as her reason for staying in the race
* threatening to support and vote for McCain

So after months of horrendous abuse from Hillary and her supporters, after continually being told that Obama is not fit to be President, we're supposed to just button our mouths, not say anything, and continue to take whatever abuse that Hillary supporters choose to dish out. Not only that, but we are supposed to be thrilled that even though she's not conceding yet, that she's considering allowing Obama to have the honor or choosing her as his running mate.

11. Every single thing I brought up in the OP is true
You and your co-horts have been trashing Obama nonstop for months. We Obama supporters have been called all sorts of vile, nasty names by Hillary fans.

And now that we're voicing our frustration over Hillary's refusal to deal with reality, you simply can't stand that, can you? You want to continue to dish it out, but you can't take it when it's dished back?

10. Agreed.
He has foreign policy experience that will help the ticket, and he will be an enormous help with the Hispanic vote. I know they like Hillary, but not as much as they'd like a man of their own.

13. NO - not it's not
This is NOT "how it works". Obama has wrapped up the nomination. He has enough delegates and superdelegates to clinch it.

I can't help but notice that McCain's opponents have bowed out of the GOP race in order to promote "party unity".

9. Let me fix this for you.
"So after months of horrendous abuse from Obama and his supporters, after continually being told that Hillary is not fit to be President, we're supposed to just button our mouths, not say anything, and continue to take whatever abuse that Obama supporters choose to dish out. Not only that, but we are supposed to be thrilled that even though half the party passionately supported Hillary in the most contentious primary EVER, that Hillary is automatically a bad VP choice just because some Obama supporters don't like her? Do the rest of us mean NOTHING to this party?"

Would it kill Obama's half of the Dem party to acknowledge the passionate wants and cherished beliefs of the rest of us, or have WE become "roadkill in the rearview mirror" too, to quote another DU'er here tonight?

12. She's a bad VP choice for other reasons.
The fact that some Obama supporters don't like her has nothing to do with it. She's very polarizing, and if she's on the ticket it will energize the Republicans to come to the polls to vote against her. She doesn't have complementary strengths to offer--she and Obama are strong in the same areas and weak in the same areas. She's part of the old Washington politics, the antithesis to the change
that is Obama's battle cry.
