Poll question: Should Hillary concede?
This is a plain no brainer at this point. Seriously.

1. For the good of the party
for her to prolong concession only continues the division and dissension within the Democratic party.

2. After a decent interval and conferring with Obama's camp
She has to figure out what to say to her followers that will keep them charged up and pushing for Democratic victory.

3. We have a nominee. This needs to be over.
Obama needs to focus on John McCain, and the rest of us need to keep our local/state races in mind. If we can get Republicans or DLC'ers out of office and replace them with Democrats, we need to be able to contribute to those campaigns, not one that's already over.

4. I voted no, and I'm an Obama voter. She will quickly become
irrelivant. Let it go.

5. someone said...
Edited on Wed Jun-04-08 02:27 AM by DontTreadOnMe
"Hillary will do what's best for the Party..."

"Hillary will decide on her own timetable..."

The majority has spoken. It is officially over. It's not Hillary's timetable.

8. Correction: Plurality
Not a majority - a plurality.

10. majority is the correct word
Edited on Wed Jun-04-08 04:08 AM by Gore1FL
2162/4233 = 51.075% anything over 50% is a majority

Additionally 2162 is going to be increased.

6. I think, in the morn...
She's going to wake up with SDs abandoning her en masse and a very hostile MSM (or they'll just ignore her).

The RW element probably can't wait to pile it on. It will be their dream come true, free reign to paint her as a self-centered egomaniac. A tyrant in a pants-suit. This is something they wanted to do for years. And now they'll have free reign to do so, 'cause nobody but her loyalists want to protect her now.

The LW element will join in too. They'll try to nudge her out for party unity. Should that fail, she'll get demonized with the goal of convincing delegates to dump her (and then, maybe, she'll get the hint).

In short, the MSM has no reason to protect or support her anymore. The real ratings are now Obama v. McCain. She's old news.

7. As much as I'd like to see her
and her supporters take every breath of a political future away - from her...I can't push her over the edge myself. So i say concede Clinton.

11. What "concede"?
When the WOrld Series ends do you wait for the losing team to concede?

HRC lost and the Big O won.

No "concession" needed.

Just elimentary math.
