This Clinton supporter is excited about joining the Obama team.

I've been a fan of the Clinton family since Bill's first presidential race, and was really hoping to see a strong woman in the White House, but I have to admit to being relieved that this divisive primary season is over. I'm ready to get my Obama yard signs and bumper stickers. GObama!!

And congratulations on the accomplishments of your candidate and her campaign. While I do not think highly of your former candidate, and won't pretend to here, I have great respect for the supporters that carried her so far. It's been all uphill for you since Iowa. To have the kind of stamina and committment to your candidate to see it through all the way to the end is a testiment to your tenacity, tireless work, and love of country.

I know it's hard when your candidate loses. We've all been there. We've all dealt with that kind of heartbreak and disappointment. In the last 8 years I've had to watch MY candidates walk away the loser time and again: Gore, Dean, Kerry, Edwards. And it's even harder to move on when the candidate you need to support next was the one who defeated your candidate. It can have such a bitter taste.

Your steadfast logic, realism, and loyalty to your party is respected and honored here. Welcome aboard. I SO look forward to working together in the coming weeks and months to get our nominee in the White House and take back our country from the Republicans.

I am an Edwards supporter, but as time went on I liked Obama. Don't get me wrong-I like Hillary too, but I just liked a fresh approach and Obama was it....

But what I DIDN'T like was all the name calling ON BOTH SIDES, and the mean spirited arguments that I saw. We get enough from the RW without getting from each other. I know Hillary supporters are in mourning right now. They fought a hard historic fight and the media was biased and hateful. But the Dem party does not need to be that way now. The Dem party DOES need to start taking women seriously and advancing women into politics and into leadership roles. That would be a strong start toward mending fences.

And to those Hillary supporters that are threating to vote for McCain or stay home, do you really think a McCain victory will advance your cause? Do you really think he respects women? Just look at the choices of spouses? What does that say? Michelle seems as tough as nails-but Barack is comfortable with that and is always supportive of her. I just don't get that feeling from McCain.

I supported McCain over Bush and started following his actions. He is just as corrupt if not more than Bush. I respect his military service record, but not his congressional record. We crave a change in America-but McCain isn't it.

I hope an olive branch and words and actions of kindness will be extended to Senator Clinton and her followers. They fought a brutal uphill battle and deserve kudos. This was the best primary with the strongest candidates I have ever witnessed. We need to rally around our candidate and kick the GOP in the nuts come the fall.

You're absolutely correct on all counts.

We need each other. We have an election to win! It is ours to win or to lose. We go up, or we go down together.
