Concerned Obama "supporters," briefly lend me your ears.
This won't take long, I promise.

1. I am well aware that my candidate has won, and was gracious in the so doing. I am not going to "follow his lead" (which is a misreading in and of itself; the Obama campaign has never ignored an unfair attack on the candidate) when it comes to folks who post smears and lies about him here. You go right ahead and "take the high road" and let the boosters attack our nominee all you wish - but don't turn around and lecture those of us who aren't yet mounted on a similar high horse.

2. I'm quite uninterested in your (phony) "concern" about how Obama's (genuine) supporters here interact with the HRC boosters. And no, don't tell me again that "we've" won (see #1) and should just turn our dimpled little cheeks the other direction - again, you go right ahead, and leave those of us who aren't too precious to get down "into the gutter" with those who defame our candidate and slug it out (metaphorically, of course) the fuck alone.

3. And finally (promised it wouldn't take long)... This isn't a Dale Carnegie seminar, it's a political discussion board. There is not going to be a SINGLE vote that is changed because of what some anonymous somebody named "apocalypsehow" posts in a thread somewhere. Those who plan on voting for the Democratic nominee in the fall are going to vote for him no matter what nastiness they encounter here from either side; those who are voting for McCain (or not voting at all) are likewise committed far beyond the power of a poster here to sway. To think otherwise is simply silly.

Thank you for your time (and watch out for vertigo from the high perch of your "concern" pulpit).

2. Thanks, I appreciate it. It's hilarious to see folks act like our posts here are going to sway the
country in a national election, all posting under the guise of "concern."

3. lol...as if we had that much power from behind the screen of our
desktop. What a joke. I use them for venting purposes. Some (few) who seem to be "challenged" with their thoughts, I try to help out but basically, this is just a venting board.

And yes, the "concern" posts that have Obama's pic as their avatar...those are the ones that think they are being sneaky:eyes:

5. "You NEED us!!!!"
Your point goes, as well, for the HRC survivors who continue to imply they'll take their electoral ball and go home in a huff. Yeah, we need all eight or so of you to help win the election. Thanks for your concern as well.

7. What, you mean I haven't tapped into the elite power center?
Damn, I thought I was where it was all going to happen!

Could it be that this is just a political discussion board?

No, I don't believe it. You're just trying to discourage some of us from sharing in the power. I'm going to keep on thinking that every little idea, or flame, posted on here is going to have major repercussions in November.
