1. It's good when Republicans vote for him.
It's only bad when they cross over for Clinton.

2. It's bad when they sabotage. It's good when there's crossover appeal.

8. Perhaps I'm dense. Are you implying that you can't tell the difference between a Rushbot and....
and old-fashioned Republican who believes in cherished American values / myths?

Seems to me that there are 2 kinds of republicans. Some believe in integrity and use phrases like "self-reliance," "your own bootstraps," "character," "better mousetrap," and "anything's possible in America." They're honest but not too savvy.

The second group is the new breed of cynical vipers who think that everything is there to be manipulated. They're media-savvy but don't understand the concept of integrity.

Clearly, Montana has a reputation of breeding the first kind. I'm acquainted with a few "bootstrap" Republicans of the old generation, and they find appeal in Obama's apparent candor. Perhaps like Ross Perot before.

On the other hand, I am also acquainted with some neocon students here in Ohio, one of whom appeared in the newspaper, smugly admitting that he crossed party lines to vote for Hillary, at Limbaugh's orders.

SO I don't think it's like divining lottery numbers to see a difference in the character of a Republican who admires John Wayne and one who admires Karl Rove and infer why they voted for a Democrat.

3. Russert said he asked Tester a yr ago. If he thought and Dem could carry MT in the GE
And surprisingly a yr ago. He said Obama had the best chance.

Thats very interesting. And judging by yesterday. MT loves Obama about as much as Oregon. Which begs the question with 2 Democratic Senators and a Liberal Democratic Governor. Why is MT a lock for the Repukes?

9. Randi Rhodes told us the true purpose of Operation Chaos.
It was not to stir the shit and keep us infighting, or to ensure the easiest Democrat to defeat is nominated, though those are secondary goals.

It's cover.

Cover to disguise the fact that millions of Republicans, fed up with George W. Bush and all the shit that the GOP has dumped on this country, are fleeing the party, and joining us.

That's it.

We're gonna kick some serious ass this fall because the Democratic party is gaining new blood from all those people who are willing to give progressivism a try.
