Don't you think that Carline Kennedy being on the VP team is a signal that it won't be Hillary...?

1. Yes
I agree; there's no way Caroline would recommend Hillary. -- Wanet

2. I believe that is a very huge clue!
:hi:

I cannot see her approving of Hill and Bill.

3. Oh yeah.
That was my first thought yesterday. Sure enough, within a few hours came the news that a joint ticket would be "highly unlikely." Nice way to take back some of the spotlight Hillary's been trying to steal AND take back some of the power she tried to claim by her disrespectful behavior on Tuesday. I'm impressed by how the Obama campaign is handling this so far. :)

5. I thought she was standing in for her uncle Ted
She's capable in her own right. But my guess is that if Ted wasn't ill, he would be in that position. I'm glad she's there, though.

6. I think it is a signal that choosing the VP will be a process not a negotiation. HRC could
still be VP but only when compared on a slate chosen by Obama. So she has competition. Means she will likely not be VP. But we shall see.

8. Did you see the photo of Barack and Michelle's faces while they were watching Hillary give her
"I-really-won-the-nomination-" speech on Tuesday?

They looked like they couldn't believe their ears.

Hillary will not (notnotnotnotnotnot) be on any list of possible VPs for Obama, nor does she deserve to be after trying to ruin that historical moment
for all of us.

but yeah they were annoyed.

10. I didn't see 'annoyed' as much as totally crestfallen and disbelieving.
I think they gave her more credit than that and were hugely disappointed that, even at that moment,
she couldn't call up her better self to do the right thing.

15. Looking back you're right
and in away they had every reason to expect that she would let him have his moment. As, it was he took it any way, but graciousness on her part would have helped everyone.

Incidentally, I absolutely disagree with the idea that she did this for her supporters. In fact, she hurt them as much as nay one by suggesting she won and that they had the possibility of fighting on. Look at any good end of campaign speech - pick your favorite of this season, 2000, or 2004 - primary or general election. Though they are sad ends of dreams - and in the general election, a let down that we couldn't regain sanity and a better world, their is more. There is an exchange of love, sympathy, and thanks. There is a community where the leader and the led likely help each other go on. It's a sense that the battle was worth fighting and that even in loss, we know that in our lives, we will continue to fight for the things we believe in.

In the primary elections, it also provides a friendly forum to endorse the winner and to try to heal some of the divisions that come out in any fight. In this campaign, the attacks on the winner were more prominent than usual because the fight went on longer and much better covered. It will take an effort to reduce the revulsion that some on either side feel. (I suspect that those of here may be among the worst cases, because we saw every attack land and in many cases took it to heart.) Clinton didn't offer this to her supporters and it is there loss. She could have started the grief process with them, assuring them that things would be ok.

That's a shame, really.

12. They both looked very tired. And their expressions piss me off
like nothing had before that. They deserved better than that from her behavioralness.

in everything they do.

I think they will announce that she is on the list and THAT will be the last consideration they give her. Rightfully so!!!

13. Hillary can't be the VP candidate, RNC is using videos of her to attack Obama
Hillary has been the greatest asset to the RNC - they have
a video up already of Hillary attacking Obama.

What sense would it make to have a VP candidate who has a knife
in the Pres' back?

and the other no class at all. Caroline has her mother's grace.

21. The choice of Caroline Kennedy was a brilliant move!
Not only is she one of the most admired women in this country, she is acknowledged as the keeper of the Kennedy Legacy. And she is gracious, when many consider Hillary's behavior ungracious.

And yes, I agree with the OP. It certainly was a signal that Hillary will not be the VP nom. Hillary is being "let down easy."

22. Caroline Kennedy has been advising Presidents since she was 3 years old.
She brings a lifetime of political experience to the table here.
