You know, take a pass. I'm sure someone else can run the Senate. The VP is hardly there, anyway.

1. Nancy Pelosi can be President
in the event "something happens". Sounds like a plan to me.

2. Well considering that one of the top names being thrown around (Sebelius)
was at Bilderberger last year, and will be at Bilderberger this year, I'm inclined to agree with you.

5. It's a meeting of world-class corporate elitists held every year since 1954
A super-secretive counsel of rich and influential people. A lot of overlap with Bohemian Grove types, too.

9. Hasn't Hillary Clinton attended the Bilderberg Conference as well?
Why is this important?

13. I don't know about Hillary. I'm sure Bill has
And Vernon Jordan, Clinton crony, is usually there too.

It's important because it shows that nothing will really change if, in fact, Sebelius gets the VP nod. One of the reasons she might have been there last year, according to the piece I read (though I have no notion as how credible the source was) was because she supports the NAFTA superhighway.

15. Okay, this is the train of logic ?
1. The NAFTA superhighway exists
2. Sebelius supports it
3. That's why she attended the Bilderberg Conference
4. If Sebelius becomes Vice President, nothing will really change.

Is that right?

18. Okay, well, I'm gonna keep an open mind about Sebelius. It doesn't seem like there's anything
unfavorable about her... maybe I'm wrong?
Would appreciate a link of what she supports that would make her a bad VP candidate.

Cheers!

4. Or maybe run an "American Idol" type competition for it.
Edited on Fri Jun-06-08 06:13 PM by Kutjara
It's a lightweight job these days (unless the President is such a buffoon the VP actually becomes the President), so we may as well make it a kind of "reality-TV honorary celebrity" role. People can audition for it and the one with the best hair, story, song, pet trick, or physical deformity gets to be VP.

The only question is, who would judge the competition? It would need to be people of impeccable character, deep political savvy, and a keen eye for executive talent. I suggest Dan Quayle, Joan Rivers, and Carrot Top.

17. I think a good idea would be to skip the VP position for Hillary
for this first 4 year term. How about a compromise?

Hillary sits this one out and for the next 4 years does what any good soldier would do and proves her merit, trustworthiness, and support for President Obama. If she can do this without getting snotty and imploding, Obama can make her the VP for the next 4 year term.

Given what she has done to him, maybe proving her sincerity wouldn't be a half bad idea.
