A thought on Kerrys speech this morning before the vets
Monkeyboy always has some lame ass slogan and every ethnicity dating back to the caveman standing behind him.

Kerry had quite a few people on stage but the camera just showed one senior vet standing behind him.

Well informed people know this doesn't mean anything
and what is said is what counts.

But the "Sam and Sally Simpletons" who are still undecided may notice that kind of bullcrap when they watch thier nightly soundbite on the news.

Otherwise I thought it was a very good speech.

1. Of course it was a good speech
Kerry can talk. He can form complete sentences, and he makes sense. His words may be above the heads of Sally Simpleton, but then again I don't think such a person is overly impressed with diversity either. In fact, I think such a person may prefer to see all white people. So I don't think it's too much of an issue. What is an issue is the double standard of the media, and the way they covered Kerry's speech compared to *'s.

2. I did not mean to imply it is an issue
I think Kerry is a fantastic campaigner.
I even finally agree with his answer to Bush on Iraq.

It's just that sometimes for the people that don't understand his answers he had pretty pictures and slogans to look at too.

3. "every ethnicity dating back to the caveman"
Joke being that he's the token caveman!

Who would have thought that a ride on Airforce One could brainwash you and ruin your career?

5. CNN put up words from Bush's speech
to the VFW on the left side of the screen and showed Kerry on the right side of the screen during much of the speech.

When the speech was over, CNN had a Repub guy explaining why it was OK to remove U.S. troops from Korea.

Right after that CNN did a story on the Ricky Skaggs campaigning with Bush in Minnesota. And CNN mentioned that someone is trying to start a boycott of Springsteen.

I'm sorry but CNN's bias is just too obvious.
