Blitzer Misrepresents Kerry's Criticism of Bush's Troop Withdrawl Plan
Edited on Wed Aug-18-04 12:11 PM by bigtree
He completely ignored the point that these troops won't be coming home. They would be sent directly to Iraq or Afghanistan to cover for the lack of allied support on the ground there. Bush has squandered the relationships with our allies that would have gotten us more foreign troops to better balance the forces, to take some of the pressure off of our troops.

Instead Bush wants to mindlessly shuffle our forces away from our allies and use them to further his fiasco in Iraq and his failure in Afghanistan.

Blitzer earlier also acted like he didn't know that Kerry has said that he would draw down U.S. forces in Iraq IF we were able to get our allies to send more troops to replace them, including more Muslim troops.

He made the false assertion to Wes Clark that there was a conflict between Kerry opposing the removal of troops from foreign bases and wanting a U.S. troop drawdown in Iraq. "Why should we keep bases open abroad while we are closing them at home?" he asked. The problem with that is, as I stated above, that these troops won't be redeployed home, so there will be no money saved that would allow our U.S. bases to continue.

After all the US State Media's wea cupla crap, please forgive us for not doing our jobs etc etc, here they go AGAIN.

bushCartel NEVER EVER said they were "bringing troops home". They said they were pulling troops OUT OF EUROPE AND ASIA and REDEPLOYING them.

US bases are continuing to be CLOSED.

NEW US bases are opening in hellholes such as Uzbekistan and Romania.

THINK about it, you incredibly STUPID rightwingnuts!!!

And US troops should also consider the fact that YOUR SPOUSES AND CHILDREN will NOT be allowed to deploy to these new hellholes with you...enjoy your 3-year tours without your family. I'm sure they'll all wait for you to (perhaps someday) come home.

Just like bushCartel NEVER EVER said Iraq did 911 *sarcasm*, this is the exact same misleading crap intended to dupe the American rubes for political gain. WAKE THE FUCK UP, AMERICA!!!

4. that's pretty much the mediawhore (GOP) meme:
"Kerry wants to keep troops over there in Eyerak, but Saint Bush
wants to bring them troops home!!!"

They shout "BUSH WITHDRAWING TROOPS" and quietly mumble
"from europe and putting them in iraq/iran/syria/sudan/pakistan
/venezuela/etc"

It's pure Rove. The fucking DOPES in the GOP will eat up this spoonful
of SHIT and tell us it's yummy.

Seriously, you will hear in coming weeks about how Bush 'won' in Iraq
and is 'bringing our boys home', but that 'draft dodging commie Kerry'
wants to keep our boys there and spread our troops too thin. Maybe
we should all Vote Bush because of that!

Next, they'll say Kerry illegally invaded Iraq and Bush is just cleaning
up his mess. The GOP will believe it, and so will whores like Blitzer.
