The Most Powerful Person in the Democratic Party is a Woman
And yet the party is still accused of abandoning Women and having no respect for them. Ahhh the fucked up logic.

9. No, but the presumptive nominee has that moniker, not the speaker of the house nt

4. That, in and of itself, does not mean there is no more to be done for women.
Edited on Sun Jun-08-08 02:24 PM by PeaceNikki
I'd hate it if people thought that meant "game over, genders are equal".

There's still work to be done.

5. Of course there is more work to be done
But I've seen some claim that the Democratic Leadership walked away from women. That is just so ridiculous on so many levels.

6. I think she just became the second most powerful person in the party
because I believe that the either a President or party nominee for president, outrank the highest elected Democratic official (Speaker Pelosi). So, as of now, it's Obama, Pelosi, Reid, and then Dean.

But yes, up until there was presumptive nominee Obama, Speaker Pelosi was the most powerful person in the party.

7. Barack Obama is the most powerful person in the party now.
That, I think, goes without saying. It's true for all presumptive nominees.

12. You're welcome. The truth shall set you free.
I understand your point, but I have to call 'em as I see 'em.

I can do no other.
