Salami Sandwich or Hillary Clinton for Veep

I see a number of polls here comparing someone to Hillary for Veep. In each one, Hillary gets clobbered. My guess is there's a pretty substantial majority here that simply doesn't want Hillary on the ticket AT ALL. If so, here's your chance to state it. If you simply cannot stomach Hillary, pick the Salami Sandwich.

If people vote for a salami sandwich over Hillary, it pretty much invalidates all the other Webb/Hillary, Sebelius/Hillary polls and all the rest.

If the vast majority of those answering will always pick the person (or sandwich even) opposite of Hillary, than its fairly clear that the poll results are as meaningless as this one.

If a significant number of people just aren't at all thrilled with the idea of Hillary as VP (and a lot just aren't; out in the real world, I've heard a lot number of people say they'll vote for Obama UNLESS Hillary is on the ticket), then the results of polls where the ticket is Obama and not-Hillary are probably more indicative of levels of support for those hypothetical tickets than they are of opposition to Hillary as VP. (Helpful hint: neither Jim Webb or Kathleen Sebelius is Hillary Clinton.)

If a salami sandwich can clobber Hillary in a head to head match on DU, please tell me what the point is of putting her next to a real prospect like Webb or Sebelius? The results will be the same EVERY time. Bottom line, these polls are a waste of time on DU because of the reasons you state - Hillary will ALWAYS end up significantly behind. So we really can't read anything into it regarding the other candidate in the poll. Just because Webb beats Hillary by the same margin as a Salami sandwich, this doesn't indicate that Webb is any better liked here - meaning the results are invalid. The only "meaning" we can derive is that all the Hillary supporters have fled, and those that are left really dislike the thought of Hillary on the ticket.
