What kind of music does Obama enjoy?
I know it's a superficial question, but has he ever mentioned what music he likes or what bands he listens to?

1. Temps - 1970's stuff...
I was it in an interview with a young musician - Obama made a spot on comment about the good and bad of today's music but then quickly noted that he was no expert because he favorites were the oldies.

:hi:

37. Sounds like me..I love old school M-town, Philly Sound but I work out to Jayz & Beyonce..need the
beats to burn the calories..and to get going. Ha, my nieces & nephews were surprised to find that I have Jay-z, Dmx, Tupac & Biggie on my Ipod for working out. Of course, I have the clean versions of their songs.

And there's more than one Jay-Z song, you know. Quite the artist, huge catalogue. :-)

Miles Davis has one album of romantic songs, like "My Funny Valentine" that is my favorite.

Obama has many musical intersections with my tastes.

Maybe he'll have another White House lawn jazz concert like Jimmy Carter did! (I'll never forget hearing Jimmy "sing" "Salt Peanuts" with Dizzy Gillespie!!)

According to his daughter, he likes Lauryn Hill. I wonder if he likes Sista Souljah?

Yeah, McCain is such a maverick he's probably all into poetry slams and downtempo and ecstasy and stuff. :smoke:
