Angry Neocons!!!! Shovin' around the highway.
I know I have seen other threads about this subject. Aggression and/or difficulty when auto has Kerry/Democratic sticker.

Is there something wrong with the Republicans; one tried to run me off the road, with a kid in my auto and another, tonite, gave my spouse a hard time.

Are they afraid; are they just plain nuts? or are they cock-sure of a win?

Will I be afraid to vote for Kerry cause they (Neocons) are acting like jackasses?

What gives....I've seen Cheney/Bush stickers and placards but I don't feel like I have to run the person over or cause a head on collision.

I'm a little naive, maybe, but what gives? I live in NJ; a liberal and Democratic state.

Where are these cretins coming from?

I told my husband to call the cops next time he gets hassled.

I got a new car; the ole one really went....so I'm not putting anything on my auto on account of that.........but my husband still has his Kerry sticker, loud and proud.

Perplexed.

No surprising. Being an avid Bush support is definitely a character flaw.

2. Its been my experience that when people act as you
describe it is more out of fear and anger that they are losing. Confident people have no reason to act that way.

4. My wife was at a shop today
and the lady at the counter had brought up the election. When the conversation turned to Bush she become physically upset to the point that she almost gave my wife the wrong change. She was a Kerry supporter, by the way and she couldn't grasp how anyone could still vote for Bush.

The difference is Democrats are very upset with Bush while Republicans I've met seem to be more upset with people that are against Bush. They reeeaaally take the 'us against them' mentality seriously.

BUsh is SUCH a uniter after all.

5. If someone tried to run you off the road
That's called "reckless endangerment" if not full-on vehicular assault. You get the licence plate number or a good description of the car and call the cops.

If somebody's just being an asshole, there's not much you can do about it. Unfortunately, we have the right to be assholes. Endangering your life and the life of your child is another matter entirely.

Yesterday some a-hole put a Bush/Cheney sticker over my John Kerry sticker. That shows the class on some of these Bush supporters. That's vandalism!

8. I have heard the stories is it true?
Driving around DFW a lot of people drive like aHoles. I have heard of some other guy and his car was vandalized. Or the other guy was run off the road. How many people can say It happened to me? I have bumper stickers on my truck and I have not had any trouble. I live in bush country.

I had a Gore sticker and someone spit all over my car right here in Los Angeles County (though I am in a CONservative enclave) in a market parking lot. True they didn't endanger my life but I think spitting all over someone's car is vandalism and plus it's dirty, filthy and very disgusting. :puke:

9. It happened to me in Mass-tailgated by a Suburban w/a Bush Cheney sticker
Edited on Wed Aug-18-04 07:18 PM by RationalRose
and to tailgate me you have to be going at least 80. I changed lanes quickly and got off an exit, knowing he'd roll over if he tried to do the same thing. What is it with these people? Jut because I have "Pro-America, Anti-Bush", "Support Our Troops", and "Kerry/Edwards" stickers on my car? Jesus.

13. You should be on good behavior
no matter what sticker you have on the car. Other wise you reflect badly on your guy. Then again bushies do not have manners they are stupid and ignorant, never mind mean spirited and gross.

15. So this is how the Brownshirts got their start?
Edited on Wed Aug-18-04 08:00 PM by Madame_Bovary
I suppose that is just how hooligans become part of and take over the government.

These guys are acting like thug brownshirts (brownshits) and I really don't feel like I am in the USA that I used to know anymore. That is what the reality of the situation has come to apparently.

14. We got our first new car in 15 years and it proudly wears a
Kerry sticker. I live in LA County and haven't had any trouble yet. In fact, I have seen only one Bush/Cheney yard sign in our area--there are many Kerry/Edwards signs. I'm in a community that is probably about half Dem.

The only comment we've had so far was positive--from a middle-aged white guy, which really encouraged my husband (sometimes he feels all alone in his 45-60 white boy demographic). He absolutely despises Bush and has had a few fights with his gymrat buddies about politics. He's not afraid. I was the one who wanted to put the Kerry sticker only on our other car (an '85) and he insisted on putting it on both of them.
