They start with the proposition that the nominee is the most liberal, then build around that conclusion a way to get there.

I'm also not exactly shocked that Oklahoma has 2 of the 3 most conservative. That's one state I'd be almost afraid to visit. :scared:

It looks more accurate in terms of where everyone falls. I think Obama's placement is about right...in the more liberal half of the Democratic caucus for sure, but not the furthest to the left. My take on Obama is that his instincts are mostly progressive but he's not an ideologue, and he is willing to eschew ideological orthodoxy if the other side can make a convincing case. That's kind of how I am too, and it's a quality I would value in a president, even if it means he disappoints me sometimes.

I've barely heard of it, and I doubt I can just go to the newsstand and just pick up a copy.

The only two times I've heard of them is when calling the Democratic nominee "most liberal." So that tells me that this is some kind of circle jerk meme.

I think people are fed up with the labels. Obama should wear it with pride and be critical of McSamie for being too conservative. It's time we had a real discussion of just what conservatism hasn't done for the people of this country. They won't have a leg to stand on.
