Some conservative douche (who used to work for the Bush whitehouse) said that "there are these people who think he's an elitist" and Shuster said "Excuse me, what exactly do you mean by 'these people'? Of course, the asswhipe completely forgot what he was talking about and said "What? These people?" and Shuster said "Yes, you said 'these people'. Who are 'these people' who think that the Obamas are elitist?" (Ok, I desperately was thinking "You, David! You implied that he was elitist because he drank fucking orange juice! But I guess that's besides the point right now). The asswhipe starting bullshitting "Uh, people who he went to law school with..." and David Shuster said "Name names." And the guy said "Hahaha, the media doesn't have to name names, why should I?" And Shuster said "You just made a devestating charge against him, and you don't have one thing to back it up with?" Asswhipe mumbled some more, but Shuster just shook his head, kind of like Johnathan Alter did last night at the Larson guy.
And that conservative radio show host Heidi suddenly remembered the last gutter of GOP talking points she had and you could see a lightbulb go off in her head that she desperately needed to get in before the end of the show. "Typical white person ! Typical white person ! Barack Obama called his grandmother a typical white person! If John McCain had said 'typical black person, he would be gone!" Dan Abrams said "And maybe John McCain's statement would be considered differently IF HE ACTUALLY HAD A BLACK GRANDMOTHER! BUT HE DOESN'T!"
small victories.
