Survey USA California: Obama up by 12; but McCain getting 20% of African-Am vote?
Obama: 53%
InSane: 41%

Men 52-43 InSane
Women 62-29 Obama

18-34 61-35 Obama
35-49 53-37 Obama
50-64 50-44 Obama
65 plus 51-45 InSane

White: 50-43 InSane
Latino: 65-26 Obama
black: 80-20 Obama

I think 20% of black vote going to McCain seems high, but who knows for sure?

1. That won't happen. McCain will get no more than 5% of the black vote.

4. No, but considering that Kerry got 90% of AA in CA in '04 it seems high.

13. Some observers say that there has been a reverse Bradley effect this season
Some black people are telling the pollsters that they are undecided for not voting for Obama but do so when they get into the voting booth. North Carolina is a good example of this.

6. I seem to remember some weird polling like this before primaries and then the exit polling would
show it was 90+% for Obama - and that was between Dems. Between Obama and McCain, no way those numbers are accurate.

14. Survey USA has been messed up the last few weeks. They had Obama losing the AA vote in Iowa.
Something funny is going on. People trying to make the race closer than it really is

24. It's not "messed up", it's just a huge MoE. They only asked about 35 black voters!
You can't draw much of a conclusion from that small of a sample (7% of 563 likely voters polled), but it doesn't mean that the overall poll is faulty.

and i don't care if there in the military. Just because your in the military doesn't mean your automatically voting for McCain. Remember in 2000 Bush got more support from the military that McCain did people forget that. So don't be surprise if a lot of military people are voting for Obama.

They all know what happened in NOLA. AND they all know who McCain's BFF is.

23. Meaningless - sample too small
Of 503 likely voters, 7%. or about 35, were African-American. So the 20% figure is based on the responses of 7 people.
