If all we want is to argue over George Bush's term then yes, lets argue FISA and stick it to them.

But I'm sick of fighting about the past, I want to know about the future. And while the Dems will control both houses of Congress and most likely the White House, I don't see the fantastic new ideas that will transform this country.

Once we fix what George Bush has wrought, do we have any vision past that?

1. We would have to have ethical candidates running in order for that to be possible...
being a Democrat doesn't make one ethical by default, as should be proved by now.

2. Well we would be relying on Obama's ethics.
Unless you are saying you believe he would spy on Americans and abuse his power like Bush did.

I don't believe that.

4. This isn't about just trusting Obama. There are 2 things to think solemnly about

1. Obama hasn't won yet and we could be giving that power to McCain, the original PNAC neocon.

2. There will be other Presidents after Obama. This bill must be opposed and fought tooth and nail. The ACLU is sounding an alarm so strong that I hope people heed their warning.

This is OUR democracy and WE have to fight for it.

5. Frankly, we have seen that there are no checks on an out of control executive branch.
This is another consequence of Bill Clinton's impeachment...now impeachment is seen as going overboard.

All because he couldn't keep it in his pants. This is the longest lasting legacy he will have.

Just think of what would have happened if he had apologized for lying to the people and resigned? I really think it would all be different.

3. Unfortunately this is a convenient outlet for misplaced rage by Dems and trolling by the GOP.
