What have you done for Obama lately?
I haven't volunteered since knocking on doors in one of the last primary states. But I did give this week.

What about you? Any good stories?

3. Nice.
I imagine you'll be able to make calls for Obama closer to the election though.

5. We're into the next round of voter reg/absentee ballot activities here in PA...
New staff people have recently arrived, but the homegrown troups have kept things alive since the primary ~ we're just heading back into high gear!

6. Stopped attacking him, started defending him against some of his supporters.
Clinton supporter. Baby steps. But they are steps.

Weird how I used to have to defend Clinton against lies to the Obama supporters, and now I have to defend Obama against idiotic expectations to the same people.

9. I'm so glad you asked.
Today, for the first time ever, I participated in a registration drive held by my county's Obama/Democratic HQs. I was really intimidated with the idea of knocking on doors but after the first couple, it was almost fun.

My 19 year-old son and I worked together. We were assigned to a largely Latino neighborhood and I was so proud of my son who was able to speak to them in Spanish. He, in fact, was the only Spanish-speaker so he was in high demand.

Out of 6 of us in our group, we only registered 1 person, but several people signed up for volunteer positions. And, only 1 man slammed the door on me - he was voting mccain and had nothing to say. I counted 2 teeth in his mouth. Most everyone else was cordial, and many were Obama supporters. Go Obama!

11. That kicks ass.
Congrats on your first door knocking experience. I grew to like it much better than phone calling. Less people are rude when they see you face to face.
