I will continue to donate Money to elect Barack Obama
and so will my 2 daughters and my husband and my father and mother.

We will do so because we want a future that is not like the recent past.

We want the Iraq War to come to an end.

We want to perserve a woman's right to choose.

We want to re-establish good relations with other nations.

We want the government to work for us.

We want an energy plan that works.

We want to look forward to the State of the Union addresses every year.

We want to see the Obama family in the White House.

We want trade deals to be fair deals.

We don't want to go to war with Iran.

We really want a lot, and we don't think it can happen if we don't help elect the Democratic nominee, who has foregone public financing.

And so because we want all of this, we will be giving to Barack Obama each and every month, as much as we can afford, often.

In fact, I will be giving via DU in just a few minutes. Skinner talked me into it. :)

Nobody is perfect, and Obama has been put into an untenable position with this piece of crap legislation.

23. And because no matter what Obama does, the bill will still pass.
Whether Obama ends up in the White House or not, that piece of legislation will still be enacted. Those are the facts.

24. Diesel fuel hit $5 a gallon here this week. It was $2.93 a gallon last year at this time.
What energy policy does the Bush admin have - BOHICA!

35. It sure blows holes in their "gas prices are determined by supply and demand" horseshit, huh?
I don't see why diesel fuel should cost $2 more a gallon this year than it did last year.
Diesel fuel is less refined than unleaded gasoline.

The cost of my grocery bill is through the roof.

I'm fairly pissed off about it.

21. I read it.
I wrote my own letter to the campaign which was
very similar to yours, except for the promise
of NOT FUNDING the campaign if he rolls over
on immunity.

I mean it.

I will still vote for him, but my money
will go only to KNOWN progressives that
put their mouths where my money is.

You KNOW I am an Obama supporter...

but I support my rights against illegal
search and seizure first.

26. Ok. and I know that you understand that the Bill will still pass.
Regardless of Obama.

So it is more about the principle from your standpoint as well.

It is with me too.....but not to that extent, since the bill will be law regardless of whether Obama wins the election or not.

Especially if he expects to be funded by
his informed base.

I expect he will fight it.

He has not disappointed me thus far.

You either believe and act as they do, or you hate the Constitution. Simple.

19. Got our stimulus check today, so a big chunk will go to Obama.
The rest is set aside for our animal shelter here which is in such dire need because of all the "owner surrendered" pets arriving due to home foreclosures. Just breaks my heart. Can't think of two better causes.

The record of a person does speak to who they truly are. What should reassure us more than anything is the very keen early support from some of our finest Democrats.
