I will continue to donate Money to elect Barack Obama

and so will my 2 daughters and my husband and my father and mother.

We will do so because we want a future that is not like the recent past.

We want the Iraq War to come to an end.

We want to perserve a woman's right to choose.

We want to re-establish good relations with other nations.

We want the government to work for us.

We want an energy plan that works.

We want to look forward to the State of the Union addresses every year.

We want to see the Obama family in the White House.

We want trade deals to be fair deals.

We don't want to go to war with Iran.

We really want a lot, and we don't think it can happen if we don't help elect the Democratic nominee, who has foregone public financing.


And so because we want all of this, we will be giving to Barack Obama each and every month, as much as we can afford, often.

In fact, I will be giving via DU in just a few minutes. Skinner talked me into it. :)

I can only give little bits at a time but I'm giving it and trying to get everyone I know to give what they can as well.

Nobody is perfect, and Obama has been put into an untenable position with this piece of crap legislation.

Whether Obama ends up in the White House or not, that piece of legislation will still be enacted. Those are the facts.

I believe that he is the best person for the job.
...and I will put my money where my mouth is to support him.

I don't see why diesel fuel should cost $2 more a gallon this year than it did last year.
Diesel fuel is less refined than unleaded gasoline.

The cost of my grocery bill is through the roof.

I'm fairly pissed off about it.

very similar to yours, except for the promise
of NOT FUNDING the campaign if he rolls over
on immunity.

I will still vote for him, but my money
will go only to KNOWN progressives that
put their mouths where my money is.

You KNOW I am an Obama supporter...

but I support my rights against illegal
search and seizure first.

Regardless of Obama.

So it is more about the principle from your standpoint as well.

It is with me too.....but not to that extent, since the bill will be law regardless of whether Obama wins the election or not.

Especially if he expects to be funded by
his informed base.

I expect he will fight it.

He has not disappointed me thus far.

The record of a person does speak to who they truly are. What should reassure us more than anything is the very keen early support from some of our finest Democrats.

The vote is next week. I hope everyone is writing to their senator and Majority Reid....and not just dumping on Barack......cause he ain't President yet.

I have donated in the past and will continue to do so in the future. Sure, there are some things I would like to see go differently. But when I compare the alternatives we have, Obama is the clear choice.

As he has said many times over, he is not a perfect candidate. That's where we come in.
