Last time I looked, Jesus Christ was not our nominee.
I was wondering if he walked on water but I think he's just a statesman and a politician. I think I'll have to live with that. Nobody better, damn few as good!

6. We have here a candidate who knows how to win.
And the purists have to find fault.

Hold his feet to the fire, yes--but let him get into the White House and see what he actually does. See if he does what he says. I'm willing to take the risk. Lots and lots of politicians and leaders that I trust have endorsed him, so I'm sticking with him. I do know this already: he's tough enough to take heat for his decisions. And again, he knows how to win this thing. He's avoided many pitfalls already.

8. Yet, we manage to find a new wave of Democrats threatening not to "support" their nominee
when they know that Obama's campaign, now more than ever, will live or die by his donors.

It's another case of Democrats figuring out another way to lose the long-term prize. If McCain pulls off this election, the Republicans will laugh all the way to the bank and back about how they can't seem to lose even when they spot the Dems a big-assed advantage.

It'll be a damn shame if that comes to pass.

9. Maybe he could shave during the election and let it grow back after the inauguration.
